Easy for you maybe. I have no idea what you are talking about. LOLWhat was up with the rotor also just thinking is the pin that holds the reluctor in all the way have gotten some in it was loose (up) and the reluctor was just snug enough to run. Easy check.
The 4.0 got a good rep.Yes, how many front wheel bearings you put in that so far?
Dude your scaring me Chris working on it with you? There is a roll pin that holds the reluctor on the shaft, look at it from the top it is between the reluctor and the shaft the rotor goes on.Easy for you maybe. I have no idea what you are talking about. LOL
Lol I got one in with a cap they took a spring from a pen and put it in the center where the carbon brush goes, blue as hell! Can't you just stick a spare valve spring under the cap to hold everything down?
Two or three sets of front brake calipers tho' and hoses. Other than that its been little things here and there and all over the place.Yes, how many front wheel bearings you put in that so far?
I went through them yearly, no idea why did drive it daily though. The 4.0 got a good rep.
None. Repacked 'em once a few years after I got the truck. Need to do it and all the differential oil again. Its been too long.
no way! creative!Lol I got one in with a cap they took a spring from a pen and put it in the center where the carbon brush goes, blue as hell!
Actually think there are a couple of them up at the junkyard Klingers, not sure of the years though. Two or three sets of front brake calipers tho' and hoses. Other than that its been little things here and there and all over the place.
Prob why I got it as a core!no way! creative!
Other than a little dark around the top center the inside of the cap looked pretty clean. Now that's special!
Hmm, that makes sense except that I've hardly got any miles on this thing. Like I said it's a rebuild. Will have to check, but probably from AZ or Advance.Your bottom gear is worn where it is held on with a roll pin, you don't want to break it off and go fishing for it unless you have a nylon magnet let me send you one. Definitely looks like that is about to go or the cam plate Jesus clamp is gone one of the two. It is rising into the cap for sure.
Shorty's had only one last I looked and its pretty stripped. This reminds me - fuel fill hoses are starting to leak - got to order a set (of china made copies )Actually think there are a couple of them up at the junkyard Klingers, not sure of the years though.
That is a mechanical failure one of the two. Shoot me a message I will give you my paypal so I can print out the postage and send you a good one, seriously you got lucky you did not get stranded. Seriously not hard just drop it in the same rotor position and time it.Other than the

Yep, he's been here all day. He's on his way to your place now to spend the night.Dude your scaring me Chris working on it with you? There is a roll pin that holds the reluctor on the shaft, look at it from the top it is between the reluctor and the shaft the rotor goes on.
OK, so you'll just send me the 73 ready to drop in?Aint the pin its either the gear is worn or the cam plate is rising one of the two, I would bet on the gear it locks the shaft in position from rising.
Well, looks like I will be swapping it, so we shall see...You know if it is really worn would explain why the timing was so off when I was up there.
