At very least I will open up the gap before I run it again. Or could just pull it and let you do your thing with it.To tight bet the reluctor is hitting the pickup. Both will be toast the pickup might work but now moisture can get in there by the "blade" on it.I set them at .012. Good news is I have parts for it!
75 1bblMight have the right one for it need all the specs carb 1 or two bbl and year. Good news You can finish mudding the ceiling for a trade!
Purty.
dang. I just check the MP one and it was .006-.008 Thats what was in the DC bulletin. Didnt know that was tighter than typical stock. To tight bet the reluctor is hitting the pickup. Look at that reluctor, big difference.dang. I just check the MP one and it was .006-.008 Thats what was in the DC bulletin. Didnt know that was tighter than typical stock.
Just about? What would be different? Is that one you already rebuilt? Might want to do that, but will try to adjust the gap back out a little and see what it does first. Can probably do that tomorrow AM. I have long weekends all month, so if the weather ain't too bad...Got a 73 that is just about the same. Want it I can just send it to ya pay the ride then when it gets nice out bring it up and we will throw it on a scope.
It will prob work but would not trust it if it gets humid though. One of the reasons I throw them in the ultrasonic cleaner if it is damaged it will show up then.Just about? What would be different? spec on mine called for .008 gap. and instructs to try a .010 and it should not fit.dang. I just check the MP one and it was .006-.008 Thats what was in the DC bulletin. Didnt know that was tighter than typical stock.
And what in the heck is so funny about that?
National Weather Forcast looks decent for the weekend in this corner. Even midweek doesn't look that bad. More sloppy than deep. I don't know where Wolfie is getting his weather from??Just about? Starting late tomorrow. I've heard a couple different, They're all over the place with the timing and totals. Probably be pretty accurate by morning news.National Weather Forcast looks decent for the weekend in this corner. Even midweek doesn't look that bad. More sloppy than deep. Reminds me of last year around this time stocked up on beer, diesel, forgot to get gas for the generator though.......Starting late tomorrow. I've heard a couple different, They're all over the place with the timing and totals. Probably be pretty accurate by morning news.
I'm just looking to mess with it as little as possible before I bring it up your way. If I pull it, I could end up worse. TimingIt will prob work but would not trust it if it gets humid though. One of the reasons I throw them in the ultrasonic cleaner if it is damaged it will show up then.
OK.Sounds good. I dont have factory manual from the electronic era. Well if you find there's slop and its hitting seems best to take hoppy up on the loaner. Or buy it as a spare. I have 2 goods ones, one for parts and the the tach drive one in my stash. That doesn't include one on the running engine in the car. For the Jeep I only have one spare, which is the original. But don't let me try influence you....spec on mine called for .008 gap. and instructs to try a .010 and it should not fit.
it gets easier the more you do it. then andI'm just looking to mess with it as little as possible before I bring it up your way. If I pull it, I could end up worse. Timing
