Stop in for a cup of coffee

The ECU also controls advance electronically. When they go wonky, they can pull the timing or make it jump all over the place
Not seen any of the normal Chrysler type ecu that are supposed to effect timing. Later sixes I'v seen with seperate unit. Going wonky - I'll trust you've had them go that way. Mine have either just died, or died when hot...

I got lost....drove down a street that I could not get through because of snow and cars. By the time I tried to turn around 2 cars parked behind me. They watched me struggling and just parked me in and left their car. I wouldn't live down there with out hurting people. I have no idea how many were reading as they were driving

They pull timing at high RPM. When they start to go bad, sometimes you get a misfire or rough running when you try to accelerate. When they get worse, they will make the timing go all over the map. Since they are cheap, I just slap a new one in and make sure that isn’t the issue before chasing other stuff.

FSM just tells you to look for spark jump from wire against engine. It does that. But it is an old coil, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's weak. I don't think the ecu is the problem. Or I probably wouldn't get any spark. It's just a transistor being used as a switch.

He's got sparky. My guess would be timing isn't close enough or fuel (includes choke under fuel)
I think fuel is fine, so I was going for timing, but It's not firing at all with repositioning distrib

Wait till you come down here.
They just stop in the street in front of you. While there are places to park, and go in the house. Or hang out the window and have a conversation with someone on the sidewalk.

Agree they do - its the electronics. Its the dirty secret. Some are faster some are slower but even nowadays only a few designs are setup to compensate in the electronics. Most factory race efforts compensated in the distributor.

Funny it doesn't seem to matter whether its a nicer neighborhoods or not. Although some neighborshoods the doorbell on the house is actually used instead of te hone on the steering wheel...

You will get the typical. I don't give a f..k response.
A few weeks back a cop in front of me hit the horn at the guy in front of him blocking the street.
Jusr sat there talking after about 30 seconds the lights went on and hit the horn again. Still Sat there after about a minute finally moved.
Cop pulled him over down the street.
I pulled over to watch. Funny as he'll watching him agrue with the cops. camera phones started popping out.
I thought it was going to get real ugly. But the guy backed down when the cop said look would you like me to call for assistance and we search your car or do you shut up just and give me your info and take the ticket.
