They told me that they eyeball each pair of springs so they are the same height, seems the other companies just throw a set of springs in the box and
most of time not the same..

Eyeballing is not a very accurate way to measure.... :rolleyes:
 
Yeah, ok.

But forget the number of leafs for the moment, what was the spring rate? And how did it compare with the torsion bar spring rate? Also remember that those cars were using the finest mid 60s shock technology that added nothing to the performance of the suspension other than mild dampening.

They were giant floating marshmallows that couldn’t corner if their life depended on it. Bias ply tires that had 5” of tread width and all the grip of a hockey puck.

Build it to what it should be, forget what it was.
