That should be 450 easy rebuilt. Prob have 10 tach drive prestolights, not a big demand but when I sell them I get the price.

Got this one from the same guy for 14, get 300 all day long very desirable for the roadrunners 70 440

Wow, another steal! What kind of money do you typically have to put in, if there's such a number?

Been on a roll again, just throwing a low bid and getting them. Just scored some nos old mopar dual points for 15.
Have to buy them when you see them. They are hard to get for a decent price.

If that vac advance can be good, they usually suck either the solenoid is bad or the vac itself prob 50 in parts unless the guy wants a 100 point then it gets crazy, points, cond, lead and the vac advance averages 250. so around 100 except the advance. Actually have four nos ones. That 219 one was nuts last year a lot of interest in it sold fast one guy wanted it and said he would come back for it, gave him a day then put it out again sold in 5 minutes. Nobody rebuilds them. Hope it gets here fast so I can rebuild it.

Not that this will help but I've seen a model of Cooper tires that tends to wear every other lug, seen on multiple vehicles. So nothing going on in the wheel bearings on that side?
Yeah I stopped running the Cooper SSTs for that very reason on our farm trucks.
As far as I can tell, hub/bearings spins smooth and straight

Yup most of the early prestolights. I will save them for a 100 point. Have some really good sorensons I have been using great spring tension, around 24. Crazy sell one buy parts. Might have to alarm the shop soon!

Those early condesers are a PIA to find. Did score a box of them the other day a bit more than I like to pay but what can I do.

Okay, I had that on my 89 Suburban. Had shop rebuild entire front axle with Yukon axles, limited slip diff. They set preload too tight and bearing on one side only lasted a couple years, should have done the work myself. Spring bushings all good, have you gone under the truck and watched a full lock to lock?

its on a Jeep, no, that's one thing i need to do is find someone to spin the wheel lock to lock for me. ive pryed on the ball joints with a pry bar as well as the tie rod ends. Track bar looks ok, not a lot of free play either. I was thinking maybe a warped rotor but beginning to doubt that even

I'd do that then, I've found a steering gear box that had mounting bolts wallowing out in the frame, wouldn't have seen that if not for being under vehicle and watching several back and forth turns. Good luck.

I got a chuckle out of this. Wanted- wanted,in the parts wanted section. LOL

yeah. Was just going to shot gun the whole front suspension but now its bugging me so I wanna know

I gotta get going, going to the house to test the hot tub repair I made yesterday, can't believe I found parts and even the service manager of the spa/pool store was surprised. Then on to more pressure washing, changing stair treads and staining stairs. Also gotta build a shelf in the rafters of the pump house on the property to store my Duster fenders, fiberglass hood etc. Man this SUCKS, can't wait till things normal out. Have a great day all!

so its not a tire pressure issue. It got WORSE at 45 lbs. reaired to 50 which seems to be the sweet spot but still vibrating. Looking at it being a tire out of balance, shocks or ball joints. Number 1 cause is worn shocks according to several Jeep forums and magazines. Numer 2 is balance and number 3 is ball joints. So I'm gonna rotate tires tonight and see if it goes away. which will confirm or rule out the balance theory.

Kinda like Knobbies on a street bike. Once you get used to the vibration it was ok. Just don't try and make any GP bike moves on the street with them or you wound up on the ground in an uncomfortable position tangled up in a bent motorcycle. Sure nice in the dirt though. Get the infrared thermometer out and check the temp across the tread after they get warmed up. Big open tread designs on asphalt are a compromise at best.

Those tires wear funny, no matter what they are on.
Best to rotate and run pressure slightly above reccomended pressure in door jamb.
Tires arent made to last. Sales would drop.
