Well just got a phone call from Carlisle Productions, seems my passes got returned because of the incorrect address. She said I will have to go to will call.....And OMR as well.
I am impressed that you got a call from them...Seems most places just wait for you to call them again, and again, and again

Evening folks. Rough day today, had to sign off on hospice care for my Dad.

This could last days or months, nobody knows. He will either go quickly by aspirating his liquid food or they take him off all food and water and he dies slowly. We don’t decide which, it’s about how long he can keep the little bit of ability to swallow he still has.

He has a no-pain DNR in his living will so all we can do is keep him comfortable with pain meds.

He just turned 82 a few days ago.
Hard thing to do Dave.

AC problems by the dozen. Thought I would throw a charge in my Swinger and maybe go to a car show tomorrow. Hooked up the gauges, vac'd it down to 28". Added a little freon on the low side. Half a can, 3/4 then Boom!!!
Blew the hose off the condenser. Compression clamp not a worm clamp and hose onto copper line, no barbs. Cut the clamp off and the bad end of hose. Damn hose is too short. I need 3/8 soft copper and a flare tool. Go to Lowes and buy a coil then to Harbor Freight for a cheap flare tool. Fixed it up, vac'd it down, threw in a charge, pressures are 60/250. Duct temp is 50°. That will work. Start it back up for a test drive, get 50 feet from the driveway and Boom!. Blew the other end off by the dryer. Same deal, same clamp, same 3.8 copper with no barbs. Argggh! i THINK i WILL pull the line and take it to the local radiator shop. may be they will have some inverterted flare ends and can make me a new hose.

Tool .. AC is just extra weight .. That 150lbs might cost you .02 on the top end
New hose time. That one has expired. Something in Stainless perhaps Sir? :poke:

Better in some ways, worse in others. The nerve block failed to work and she work partially during surgery so she felt EVERYTHING. Took nearly 3 hours to get her vitals stable and blood pressure back to normal but she's home and in bed no[/QUOTE

Very glad to hear this, God speed on her recovery.

Wow, nobody around tonight.

Oh well, just ordered the Friday night pizza and will probably turn in early. It’s been a long week.

Feeling your pain Dave...Both mine are gone.. Prayers from here for sure....

When they repaired the ligament in my knee and did the orthoscopic at the same time, ice was my closest friend, that and the Aleve/naproxen. I took 1 Oxysumthin, that was enough. It still hurt but I didn't care. In my case keeping the swelling to a minimum seemed to be the key. Hence the success of the naproxen and the ice. I had about 4 bags of frozen peas that I rotated for ice packs. The 6" long incision was no picnic. That's a lot of itch you can't scratch without opening it back up. The Ace bandage was handy to tie the ice bags on, Zip Ties always got caught up in stuff . First few days were the worst.
