I remember when I used to work in the gas station we used to have dipstick fencing!

Shop towel golf. A cane that a customer left behind. Some white electrical tape around a shop towel tied into a ball shaped object. Black Sharpie. Take the grate off the floor drain in the lube bay. Shop towel golf :rofl:

Pretty sure these be the original drums. Was hoping to be able to turn these but lots of deep cracks. Finding them online sucks. And they ain't cheap

If it just the outer ring don't worry it is just there for keeping water/dirt out. I would sand it and forget it if you can. Just a beater right?
 
Like all the weigt it lost from the spring rusting? If they are small don't sweat it now if they are a inch long then..... What ya doing with the car driving style? Cross country trips? A lot of highway? Demo derby?

Right now just making the thing move and stop under its own power
