Stop in for a cup of coffee

To be honest with you ray, I really have no clue. It started as a hey I can roadkill this to my daughter falling in love with it to now my wife. Somewhere in there, I did too. Right now, I'll be happy to have it safely driving. I don't care about the looks. So I guess a down and dirty budget driving project if you wanna call it that?

Save as much as you can and keep away from upgrades. Each one adds more parts to the "LIST"

And Chris has a tendency to over do/think some things...

So I may have an answer as to why I can't post videos on YouTube. Apparently it's a IPhone glitch. I gotta have a premium account or pay the 5 bucks for the special YouTube app to change the format. Decisions decisions
I phone, there's your problem! :lol::poke::lol:

Cut the other panel off, maybe start fitting it up tomorrow.

Just got back from visiting my Dad. Not much left of the man. He just sat and stared at me with no look of even knowing I was there. :(

I need a beer.

Tough stuff Dave. You have to do it, but its never easy. All we can do is hope its not frustrating to him. I had an uncle who knew what was happening and was very frustrated - at least while he still could communicate but couldn't find the words... My friend's mom, seem to be far more content, but hell we never know. My dad was totaly unconcious but it sure seemed like he knew we were there - of course that wasn't Alz - my point only that we don't really know what they're thinking or feeling

So sad Dave. It's harder on you than it is for him. Often the old folks are in pretty good health but don't know the world is turning.

Dave, I know it can be difficult, but i could have gone a different direction.
Gentleman named Roy, nicest guy i ever knew. Always smiling, busy with firewood and hauling water. Kept his yard immaculate.
Then one day dimentia kicked in, almost suddenly. turned extremely violent. He had to be locked up in an institution.
Was very hard on his family.

My old nrighbour Fred, would say to me”i know who you are, but dont know your name”.
He wasnt around long after his stroke.

My mom is getting up there, not looking forward to dealing with it. I know its coming.

The repair panels i got were previously installed-poorly.
I guess they were cut off and i ended up with them for cheap.
One side was trimmed to go on the car. Sitting here trying to figure out how to reproduce the missing lower rear part of the panel. Then a little light came on. To be continued...

Question, anyone have a good recommendation for a good 1/8 in drill bit, for sheet steel? I broke one today and kind of don't want that to happen again

Most body shops use double ended 1/8 bits. They are short and wear out before they break.
