Morning.
Cold and snow today.
Was going to do the last patch on the chevy today, forgot i needed welding gas. Will try straight argon...

I made a big mug of coffee this morning and when I poured the sugar in from an old diner sugar bottle, the top came off and I dumped 1/4 of the bottle into the cup. Bummer.

Then make more coffee and add to the sugar until it's the proper mixture for you....

NEW YORK (AP) — The Rockefeller Center Christmas tree is in place and will soon be strung with 50,000 lights as one of New York City’s star holiday attractions, a gift from married couple.

The 72-foot-tall, 12-ton Norway spruce arrived on a flatbed trailer Saturday morning and was hoisted by a crane into a spot overlooking the Rockefeller skating rink. Millions of people are expected to visit the tree, which will stay up till Jan. 7.

Crowds will see the tree burst alive with 5 miles (8 kilometers) of LED multicolored lights and a 900-pound Swarovski crystal star during a televised ceremony on Nov. 28.

The 75-year-old spruce came from Wallkill, 60 miles (96 kilometers) north of New York. It was donated by Lissette Gutierrez and her wife, Shirley Figueroa, from their home property. They nicknamed the tree “Shelby.”

“Now it’s not my tree, it’s the world’s tree; I’m so happy to be able to share her with everyone,” Figueroa said at Rockefeller Center on Saturday. “Millions of people will come to visit Shelby”.

My heart aches.

A 76 rear old beautiful living tree killed to celebrate Christmas...there is something fundamentally wrong in that. Millions of people coming to celebrate its death and decoration makes it even more so.

The Lorax would cry...as do I.
While I get your point, I do not personally have a problem with it. Though I'd rather them transplant versus cut, that way it would live and grow.

I cut LOT of trees. 97 percent of which are dead standing timber. However, my family also replants. Usually 5-10 saplings every spring.

OUGHT TO is the magic word! Want to borrow it? Just clip it to the back of the gauge turn a knob and watch it move. Karl has one of the first I made.

A question... The PO had a small two gauge aftermarket chrome colored oil/temp hooked up under the dashboard.
Since the dash gauges were completely rebuilt a few years ago we are wiring the oil/and temp back to the dash gauges.
Is there a way to test the sending units to make sure they are working before we wire them up??
I'm sure they guy helping me has an answer, but was just curious to what you thought.

You can test the fuel sending unit for resistance when in low-med-hi positions using a multi-meter....

Ray's tester is nice to have... :D

I would even buy another one to have as a back up....

My boys tend to use things and not put them back where they belong.... :BangHead:

Or your a ***?:poke::rofl:

I knew a vendor at work who went through treatments for colon cancer... When he was finished and came back to work, he said that he had to start a file at work for his medical bills....

So he named the folder, "My ***".... :wtf:

Send me a buck paypal as goods so I can print out the postage. Call me when you use it does not have instructions easy to use.

No snow here from overnight... Hopefully I can find some time to get some of the leaves up... The grass is completely covered in some places and if I don't get them up before more fall, it will be overwhelming to the lawn mower....

We may have you do a distributor for the younger kid's new Barracuda... We are still looking into it and trying to tune it better... It looks like the distributor in it now only has 10° of advance in it... It's set at 10° initial and 20° total and I think it needs more advance.... It has a mild cam and I don't think it needs to run so much advance... If I set it to 34° total, it will be at 24° initial, which I think is too much for that engine...

I will get with you when we have some time to look into it more and figure out what we want...

It is getting 24 1/2" Hg at idle when warmed up... So the cam is not to radical... Will be good for cruising and economy... :D :steering:

I want to come in here this morning and wish all the Vets a happy Veterans day to all that made my world safe to live in and enjoy ..

Get a bigger mower!

I use the small regular mower as the two yards that I mow have many hazards and I usually break one per year... Running the cheaper ones helps keep the cost down when I bend the cranks... (They don't cover bent cranks under warranty - manufacturers or extended.... I tried...) :BangHead: :icon_fU:

I have 3 mowers for parts... One was only 3 weeks old when I bent that crank... I save them for other parts that I may need, like carburetor and self propelled drive unit...
