Stop in for a cup of coffee

We may have you do a distributor for the younger kid's new Barracuda... We are still looking into it and trying to tune it better... It looks like the distributor in it now only has 10° of advance in it... It's set at 10° initial and 20° total and I think it needs more advance.... It has a mild cam and I don't think it needs to run so much advance... If I set it to 34° total, it will be at 24° initial, which I think is too much for that engine...

I will get with you when we have some time to look into it more and figure out what we want...

It is getting 24 1/2" Hg at idle when warmed up... So the cam is not to radical... Will be good for cruising and economy... :D :steering:
10 is nothing, surprised it gets above 2k RPM

I use the small regular mower as the two yards that I mow have many hazards and I usually break one per year... Running the cheaper ones helps keep the cost down when I bend the cranks... (They don't cover bent cranks under warranty - manufacturers or extended.... I tried...) :BangHead: :icon_fU:

I have 3 mowers for parts... One was only 3 weeks old when I bent that crank... I save them for other parts that I may need, like carburetor and self propelled drive unit...
Same here, roots and rocks, to limbs with 400 oaks on a hill makes for some fun mowing Karl

I made a big mug of coffee this morning and when I poured the sugar in from an old diner sugar bottle, the top came off and I dumped 1/4 of the bottle into the cup. Bummer.
I hate when that happens.

It does have some pep... When I test drove it in wet weather, it would break the tires loose pretty easy....

But I don't think that curve is right for the engine... I have a few spare distributors new out of the box to try and see how it runs.... Then after we see what it likes, we can let you know what we need...

It doesn't seem to have any trouble above 2000 RPM that we've seen...

Yep, roots, rocks, cut off tree stumps, etc are hard on the mower...

I like the troy bilt self propelled mower... $260 - $300 for one and they do a nice job on the lawn... It looks as smooth as carpet after I mow... :D

Hey any chance you have any blown control boxes? Looking for a few more.

Are you talking about the control box for the mopar electronic ignition???

I'm not sure if I have any old ones sitting around, mostly new ones... But I will keep an eye out when I am looking through my stuff...

There is a brand new no name brand one that came with the 65 Barracuda... Not sure how good that one is as it's not Mopar and could be knock off cheapo stuff...

No started snowing, 1/2 in. Probably have to trailer it or leave it there till spring. Would free up space for another projector

Want to gut them here is a clue why

Then make more coffee and add to the sugar until it's the proper mixture for you....
Tried that concept once as a kid to correct mistaking the cinammon for chocolate making a float.
I concluded it was impossible to dilute cinammon, no matter how many times I drank half the glass and added more milk.

I sure love the new tires you put on it this year, hope mother nature throws a warm front to you and us soon

You should try the cinnamon challenge....

I knew what you was thinking about doing from the get go, I have seen them dun that way before (Y) Good luck and I may have to buy one from you when you get the proto types dun
Doing it a bit different for high revs. Have to platy with it on the distributor machine to make sure it works out.

No snow here from overnight... Hopefully I can find some time to get some of the leaves up... The grass is completely covered in some places and if I don't get them up before more fall, it will be overwhelming to the lawn mower....
Can you get a 'mulching' blade for the mower? Chops stuff up real fine.

Machine goes to 4 distrib so 8 at the crank. Have to play with it should be redundant so never fail.

My mower is a mulcher... But I have too many leaves to just mulch and leave... (pun intended, Leaf/Leave...)

I live across from a forest preserve and have a fully wooded lot with lots 'o trees....

Luckily, most of the leaves are down, I need to get them up before the rest fall and make it deeper and harder on the mower...

I will have to empty the bag every 1 1/2 to 3 passes to get them up...

Looks like a fun project, Ray.
Looking forward to the end result.
