I saw that and thought the same thing.
Imagine calling him and getting insulted for asking.
If I sense someone being rude or condescending to me, I'm sure not going to cower and be nicer. Pride factors in to some extent...
I saw that and thought the same thing.
Newbomb just got home from Tequila Tuesday .. tequila makes you arrogant as F-k! Plain and simple..
You want to send him into the next stratosphere... ask him for a time slip....Bahahahahahahahaha...Your comments are very tiresome. There's nothing to back them up. You do it to irritate people and be the one that has to be right. To also make others feel less than you. Sounds like trauma. What a miserable existence.
I almost bought a cam shaft... sent my stock one off to get reground after dealing with them. Still the only place to get a lot of things though. I just sent an email of all the specs they asked for about the car and they acted like they don't ask for that.Dave hughes, if that's who you were dealing with has always been known to be an asshole.

That I fully understand. Had I known, I may have opened up the pushrod holes BEFORE the whole engine was assembled. Well, I learned two lessons. One about pushrod clearance, one about where not to shop.
I get a feeling of a **** ton of orders and not enough time to deal with folks. The email I got back was weirdly rude and almost seemed like it was meant for someone elseDisagree , he has always been up front with me and very helpful , but their shipping has always been very high , other than that , I have been well pleased with them ...
It sounds like you want to take the subject out of the subject. Just so you know the subject here is customer service...Let's put this into perspective. Take Hughes out the equation. The OP is beating his chest about years of experience. DECADES of experience. To which I'm not doubting. Nor am I doubting that Dave can be "short". The OP has basically already all but admitted to being sloth about not wanting to take the engine apart to make it right. Anyone who has done any semi-serious small Mopar effort, knows that these parts DO NOT just fall together. The reason for Chevy just falling together is the eons of support for the platform. So to banter about 1.6 Chevy roller rockers just falling in, compared to the Mopar that has to be modified, is apples to oranges. Ignorant almost.
You’re not wrong, and most in here were conveying most that you say. It was a two way street. But it also seems that many have had bad experiences with Dave himself. It should be easy to remove himself from the CS line.. others there are very helpful. And don’t miss the fact that right in the middle of this thread he has a large headed jackass home in. And scold all of us.. unjustifiably. I for one put blame on both sides, yet was completely bashed for no reason. That’s what got this thread off the rails! As the asshat said, “ take that to the bank” ! lol.Let's put this into perspective. Take Hughes out the equation. The OP is beating his chest about years of experience. DECADES of experience. I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt! He was an asshole!Alcohol has nothing to do with it ...
When will you people learn not to associate with toxic people...
When the very nicest thing that someone can say is that he's short with them....Customer Service?? Starts with same 2 letters as Cack Soaker![]()
LOL... I understand you were... kinda my point...I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt! He was an asshole!
Just keep me on ignore, please.....It sounds like you want to take the subject out of the subject. Just so you know the subject here is customer service...
Let's take the thousand dollars for the parts spent out of the equation, and just talked about how to treat people on the phone....
My parts are great.I'll never do business here again...
I'm not beating my chest, I'm far from knowing it all. And I'm definitely not lazy. I have a small one-man business, and this is my engine, and it's not that important to me to pull it apart and do a bunch of **** over. I'll just put 1.5 rockers on it. Besides, I'm talking about the shitty response I got to the questions I had. No one on here knows me, you don't know what I've done, yet you jump to these conclusions. One thing I have learned through this, is there a lot of people on forums that seem to know everything. Without actually knowing ****.Let's put this into perspective. Take Hughes out the equation. Or they know something, and want to make you feel like you don’t know ****!!I'm not beating my chest, I'm far from knowing it all. And I'm definitely not lazy. Notice the response you will get on the phone from Mike at B3. Even if you are not an expert in setting up the rockers, he will walk you through it, and end the conversation with, " call me if you have any questions ".Actually, If I could move them back just a little, towards the intake side of the head, they'd be perfect. I contacted the B3 guy to see what he says.
The thing is when you go public on a forum this big and complain about a person, a company or anything, you are stirring up a hornets nest no matter the reason for doing it.I'm not beating my chest, I'm far from knowing it all.
