just finished goin thru your build, have to admit I was like wth when I first saw it. I by no means am a purist.but goin thru here im liking it a lot really cool build on not a huge budget.ya did good!!!
I'm still tweaking the car Bill before I turn horsepower bolts! ;) Swapping out the Hotchkis rears for Bergman's spec springs, and a few other little deals. Right now at stock-ish boost levels it feels like a 12.80 car.
I will get to all of it but I have to go to NOPI in Atlanta, (long drive), in September so I need to focus on the tweaks before tracks!
I plan to speed the car up this Fall/Winter. That's the easy part.
For the Slant turbo headers I'm still fairly positive on making them but I just need some Winter garage time to get motivated.
Thanks for the updates, Dave. I solidly support everything you have done and are planning; it's an off-scale neat car!
I finally got O-rings installed in our project, so we're ready for some serious (20psi?) boost, now.... once we get her back together,,, Wish us luck...:banghead:
Bill
Cool build!
What front brakes and spindle/hub set up are you running?
Loved watching this build come together! There is another guy on a different form who was dropping in a 4G63 into his 67 valiant. It looks like the project has stopped before being finished. I have a real soft spot for old cars with modern engines ever since I saw a nova wagon with a inline 6 GM trailblazer engine kill most the competition at drag week.
Dave, just got finished reading your build. What a cool project and nicely done.
Thanks Carl, we built it as simple as possible. In the General section I mentioned that we are getting a magazine feature and I cannot think of a better way to thank my boys here!
Which magazine? I don't want to miss it... it is SO COOL!!!!
Bill I will tell you as soon as the article is submitted. ;)
looks like shes up for sale. i feel so bad for dave. he needs to write a book on his life.
Good luck with your build, it looks interesting
It is on Ebay. I wish I could explain why it has to go right now but I can't. You guys will be mad when you find out.
The car is absolutely wonderful gang and I wish things were better. My wife and I looked at each other and said life is in God's hands.
I don't really...And I think I have got the general gist of what is happening.

Anyone got a link to the sale.

Sure is a shame. I wish you the best of luck superdve!
I SO wish things were different. All I can say is pass this info around I will let the car go for a very fair price.
Law of unintended consequences: Not having this GREAT car in your life any more will give you some free time, hopefully to work on your slant six turbo header project, maybe...
I'd sure like to see that.
In fact, I'd like to see a face-to-face FINANCIAL comparison of exactly what it would cost to build two similar a-bodies, one with a swapped-in small block 360 Magnum that was modified to produce 350 flywheel horsepower, complete with the appropriate drivetrain to take full advantage of that power, and an identical-power, turbocharged slant six with all the chassis mods necessary to take advantage of ITS capabilities.
I would like to see it settled, once-and-for-all, which system would yield the same power for less money.
It could be an interesting, multi-issue project, for Mopar Action or Mopar Muscle.
It would sure beat wading through all those endless, pie-in-the-sky Hemi articles they are so enamored of.
I think it would be a terrifiic "read!"!!!:blob::blob::blob:
