Installing a Bouchillon Performance kickdown cable setup in my '62 Valiant with an LA 408.

It took me a long time to figure out that my old kickdown cable wasn't pulling on the transmission lever nearly enough with my stock Thermoquad, so I bought the Bouchillon kit because they've engineered the correct throttle lever for a TQ. Also, their adjustable cable stop plate is very nice. I haven't got it completely installed yet, so I can't say how well it works. The instructions aren't too bad, but they could be organized a bit better. Randy Bouchillon was really nice to me when I asked him questions by email. They say it will take you about 1-1/2 hours to install the cable. Yes, it might on the second or third install, but the first one takes a lot longer than that because you have to figure everything out.

Not sure if this will help, took a couple of pics of my Bouchillon attachments around carb. Takes a little trial and error depending on your carb for the bracket. On tranny itself was real tight, not a lot of room down there. Mine went onto 65 Dart with 904 and floor shift

not a mopar, but im getting ready to get the plow outfitted with some extra lights
sofar, ive identified a keyed 10 amp source, made a wiring harness for the switches and got those ready to go

when the mail gets here i should be able to put the switches in place, connect them to the through wires and be done on the inside of the truck

Got the alt pulley in today and got it on, ended up separating the case and pressing the new pulley on. Hopefully i can fire her up tomorrow and double check to make sure the alt is charging and that there are no coolant leaks from loosening and retightening the pivot bolt for the power steering.

replaced the bad 3 week old Rockauto aftermarket blower fan on the 2012 Grand Carvan with an original pulled out of a 2008 Dodge Magnum from the junk yard...works perfect. The Rock fan smelled burned last night and stopped working. I removed and sent it 12V from a battery and it barely spun 200 RPM and it had a drag on the shaft. The old one I pulled spun like a skateboard wheel and when I gave it 12v from the test station, it almost jumped of the table. Still under even the closeout price 30 day warranty. Good thing was it only took 10 minutes to change out. Im glad it wasnt the resistor, Oreilly wanted $165 for that thing!!! strange design: 2 prong power in, 1 small 3rd pin and 2 power outs to fan. I thought it may be a PWM type as the fan has 6-7 speeds but has a huge heatsink on the back. Maybe for the switching MOSFET? And the Rockauto fitment guide is a waste. Says the 2008 Magnum and 300 and Charger use this but they all use some other 5 pin series resistor part. FAIL. This pic shows 3 small pins, mine has 1

I contacted march performance and unfortunately they dont make a shaft cover for their power steering pulley. Ended up getting some button head stainless bolts, three in the threaded holes in the pulley and one for the shaft itself.

Me.... Out driving the piss out of my 1977 Dodge D150 Warlock 360 / 727.... :)
Oh and i need to get home before Nascar starts today.... :)

Fired her up, all the pulleys looked great, dead on no variation. Double checked the alt and it was putting out 14.6-14.7

No coolant leaks which is good. I hate that the power steering pivot bolt goes through the water pump. Took it for a 20 mile ride with my dad. Ran great. Temp stayed about 180-182. Got back home and double checked belt tension, also double checked the water pump pulley bolts and they were tight. Still might double check the crank bolts. Pulled my pcv and breather off to make sure they werent letting a ton of oil go through. Pcv was clean and breather was clean which is a good sign. Currently in the garage with the hood up cooling down and getting ready for the daytona 500

Lost my Dart keys a couple weeks ago

Got a new lock set coming, doors, trunk, and ignition.
So yesterday I got all the old locks removed so when the new ones show up I can slap them right in and be on the road again.

Just sit in the drivers seat till you fall asleep.... :)
I'm excited for my new torque converter and valve body. ...
I think it's REALLY gonna wake the little 'Cuda up!
It's making good horsepower but a proper transmission can make or break a muscle car.....I can't freaking wait to drive her again!

I walked by it on my way to get a few tools.... Thought it was sold and it didn't work out. Who knows, maybe one day the Money Pit will see some asphalt. Until then, rot on the lift lol....

I cannot like this post....nor could i give it the red X .....

It's all good. I got a Pontoon and you know what a B.O.A.T is, right lol.... Gotta get my dad out on the water this year. Rewire, repower, console update, etc. The car sat in a pole barn for about 25 years. She's safe and sound in the shop. The buyer who wanted it ended up being a flipper so we parted ways and I will get it running again....

Good deal on the Converter BTW... Most overlooked performance aspect of most builds IMO...

Fixing up some bad spots in my floor. Little crude in a few places but better than it was. Had to make a new flange and piece in a donor panel. I’m happy with it.

Fixed a couple of radiator hose leaks by replacing clamps and tightening properly. Still have a pesky small oil leak from the front corners of the block (between the windage tray and the stud girdle). Grrr. At least it doesn't leave puddles now, but I hate any kind of leak...
Also pulled the distributor, removed the FBO limiter plate which didn't have enough range with my new springs, reassembled and retimed. I was going to go for a short test run, but a neighbor with a horse came riding by and I thought the dual 3" exhaust might spook it.

Got my AMD rear valance today. ..even though I'm a long way from body work and paint...
Wanted to get one before they stop producing them. ..
