What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

-
Not my car, but my buddy's '63 Dodge 440. The car has been having charging issues for a while. He didn't want to "tear into it", so he let it sit for a few months. I finally convinced him to look at it...I think we've found the problem.

Let the rewiring begin!!

I'm excited for my new torque converter and valve body. ...
I think it's REALLY gonna wake the little 'Cuda up!
It's making good horsepower but a proper transmission can make or break a muscle car.....I can't freaking wait to drive her again!

Update - A&A Transmission finally shipped out my parts....
I should get them this coming week and hopefully get the transmission back together! !!!!

It was a balmy 35 degrees today, so me and the boy installed a birthday present for the wife...a new front bumper for her charger

Been rebuilding my spare 73' front suspension/brakes/kmember for my 72' duster. 11/16 tie rod ends, qa1 tie rods, firm feel stiffening plates and modified engine mounts per Jim Lusk instructions to a DC big block kmember

Got my new door, trunk, and ignition locks installed. While I was at it I figured might as well replace the ignition switch itself, i mean it was 50+ years old, why not.
The stainless on the locks looked kinda dull, so I ran them across my buffer for a minute, shined up nice.

Drove it!
Stopped by the airport, and put 6 gallons of 100 octane in the tank, and topped it off with some BP 93 in town.
Did about a 40-50 mile cruise. It needed it, been sitting, and to many short starts, and not warming it completely up.
Haven’t got all the interior work done, still working on the passenger window regulator, and the new door panels.

Setting the back lash on a 8 1/4 diff for my 73’ duster. When I discovered that I had broken one of the adjusters for the carrier bearings. Now I’m needing to find one. Could be a tough hunt.

Finally got around to installing the convertible boot. Went smoother than I was expecting, which is a first I think. Just need some sunshine now to warm it up.

Started parting out my latest buy, a '66 Monaco 500. I may need a hazmat suit, been sitting for 25 years, and cats were in it.

Thats to bad those where nice cars . Hey look at the brite side. shouldn't be any mice or rats nest in there.:poke:
Yeah, it's even the same color as my Polara 500, but with a tan top and interior vs black, it would have been cool to have a matching set of 500's! Plenty of parts going to help other cars, and to members of the F_BO family!

I have to cut my 67 rear roll panel for dual exhaust. Today I made a template to match the new oval tips I am installing.
IMG_0403.JPG
I laid it out on the car and cut the notches where I want them on my car.

Last thing I had to do before taking it off the stands from winter work. Put the wheels back on it and taking it for a drive around the block. Then to the alignment shop then the exhaust shop.
