Foam rubber to hold the exhaust away from the body. The exhaust is tied up until the engine gets installed. You should see the bungee cords around the cross member. Lol It's a TTI system. Just trying to protect both.
Got my motor back from the machine shop. 0 Decked, Bored .030 over, Balanced the crank. New KB 167’s. One of many winter projects.
Got my new emblems today. I’m removing the trim below rear window, and putting the fish emblem where the trim one used to be.

Enjoyed a SpookTACCular (TACC = Twisted Axle Car Club) drive with friends. The last drive of the season? Then stopped by Terror on Tilson Street (Romeo, MI) where every year they have incredible Halloween displays. A great day with great friends!
Condensed a bunch of “doing days” in one post: finished up a bunch of fab work, and installs etc. Final fitment of a fabricated one piece aluminum 5 angled gauge panel for the Stewart Warner gauges (replacing the previous hard to read thin cheap chromed steel three and two gauge panels I had) and a thick aluminum switch panel for the fuel pump, water pump, rad fan and line lock. Installed a Joes Racing15” aluminum steering wheel, and just today finished wiring of the Derale radiator fan along with a Moroso water pump.
Well I was just looking at projects online for sale. Then I snapped back to reality realizing I have a 1/2 done project in the garage and another project in the street in front of my house. Why do I do that? ha
I’m working on a few details for the convertible. Got the hubcaps repainted, exhaust all buttoned up. Got it running like a top on Thursday, and was looking to take it on a trip around the block today, but winter showed up and blew those plans out the window. Wednesday is supposed to be 60.....welcome to The Mitten, where anything is possible, and crappy weather is always probable. Especially when the gales of November come early, or right on time as the case may be today!
