Received my new 1.4lb H3R halguard halotron fire extinguisher, old one was 6 years old, they recommend to empty, inspect and refill every 6 years, no one local refills the Halotron. Normally order from summit but H3R had a 20% off coupon on thier website so i got it quite a bit cheaper than from summit. Oh and i opened the package and to my surprise there was a bag of haribo gummy bears! Glad to see companies appreciate their customers

hope i never need to use it
New one on the right.
Old one on the left, its just on the edge of the green charged zone

Reinstalled the left front turn signal fender lamp... still waiting for the bulb, but I wanted a better ground to the fender. So I passed a small grinding stone through the 10-24 stud hole from underneath and clamped it in the Dremel motor above. That was fun with only 2 hands :realcrazy: Then I removed the paint from the underside of the hole.
Put the lamp back on - and discovered they'd used that strange-looking cupped speed nut for a reason. The stud mounting boss on the lamp protrudes a bit too far through the fender for the Kep nut to tighten down and bite into the steel... since I had the Dremel handy I just shortened the boss a little. :p
Now if the light bulbs would only get here. At least it doesn't have to all come off again to install the bulb!

Made a 280 mile round trip and 6.5 hours in my '75 Valiant through beautiful 'merica rural highways all for a dirty old /6 Offy intake to put on the '74 Valiant I'm do'n up for the kids... I love remembering how big and beautiful this country is.

Met a cool guy with a sweet turboed /6 barracuda fast back... thanks Charles... If yer out there.

You were near my hometown of Waynesboro PA. I used to go to The Ott House in Emmitsburg, MD to listen to live music. I haven't lived there since 1985.

Moving the core heads out of the shop, lube them up and head them to the storage shed for safe keeping.

12 heads, that is a lot of heavy iron to have to heat up every day here in MN cold temps. Move 'em out, gain some space and heat the shop easier, Win Win !

But don't forget that once you've heated up all that iron, you can turn off the furnace and the heads will give it back to the room :)
