What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

I replaced my old unidentified radiator with a brand new CU499 Spectra Industries radiator.
I also installed a new thermostat.
And after 30 minutes running, the engine temp is 180°.

Pulled the locked up brakes components from the front of my Charger project to make it a roller. Rears tomorrow.

Did the rear main wow big difference in seals better lip surface area in the Viton type seal engine is all assembled and back in and has been fired up without any indications of any oil leaking . Cooling system was bled sump stripped of its colour and went with a satin black finish. I went with the Morosso sump Gaskets as they are crush proof and some non Harding aviation cement for added insurance.

I've been sick for nearly a week (and tested Covid positive on Monday) so haven't done anything yet. But my new hybrid Quickfuel/Holley 950 arrived today. It's purty :)

I got my driver's kick panel in today....well yesterday now. So that's both door panels and kick panels. I'm gonna give it a rest for a few days and then start on the rear panels. Then I'll remove the interior door handles and arm rests and polish the handles good and repaint the arm rests. It should turn out good.

Thanks Rusty the rear main has been doing my head in I cannot stand oil leaks I’m glad I got on top of it.

I cannot stand them either. It's nice they are actually still comin out with new stuff for these old engines. I used a new style rear main seal on my 170 just recently. So far, dry as a bone.

Is that really a 273? I'd love to see and hear a video.

Today I removed my 800 DP and installed my new 950. It doesn't have a distributor advance port, so I did some minor replumbing to hook up the advance where I have the gauge line. I was about to reconnect everything and discovered the baseplate doesn't have a PCV nipple either, just the boss where it should be!
After some thought, I carefully drilled and tapped the 1/2" wood/epoxy spacer for a hose barb :)

Just got the '65 Formula S out of paint jail (had it towed home on a flatbed). Peeled off the masking tape which has been on there about a month (when aligning doors/panels). Sponged off the dust and put a layer of Meguiars liquid cleaner wax on the horizontal surfaces (will do the vertical surfaces later). The single-stage acrylic enamel really needs to be buffed and polished, but will do that after the drivetrain is reinstalled. One can tell we added a full leaf to each side of the rear suspension. I imagine when that heavy rear window is installed the rear end will be sure to squat down a little further (along with the front end, which is light without engine/transmission).
