Noticed a bunch of scratches on the bumper of the Lincoln. Asked my wife about it. She has been doing the drive by shopping. The people putting in the groceries are doing the scratching. Buffed most of them out. Oh well.
"Shimming" drivers side for steering linkage. Will have to give a little on passenger side as well and a new trans mount will add. Is there a sleeve that goes in the passenger side mount? Also will have to ping for wall where bell hits at z bar mount or grind bell and run a hydraulic clutch.... leaning towards the latter. FABO rules!
At least use some good cotton clothes line as a torque strap at least then. Just looking out for another FABO member.
I have Bungee cords. But they are currently holding up my exhaust system. If he could wait like 6 months? I'd give them to him.
Too late man, might need a little somthin on the passenger side. Cleared the ol TTI's by 1/8"! I appreciate the moral support. Man that thing is ugly... have to do some grinding and paint.
Trying to torque the flex plate to the converter all by myself while out of the car. Any ideas or suggestions?
so after having to separate the two with a couple of felling wedges I decided to trim the nub down a bit in hopes they would slide together better. I found this old bit and glued some 80 grit inside of it and reamed it a little bit then mic'd all around the nub to make sure it was true. It's now 1.785-1.789" O.D. roughly two hundredths off.
Set the idle mixture (was way too rich and stinky, now AFR 13.7 as usual). Rinsed off the garage dust. In a few minutes I will be driving it to the Steak & Shake for the last cruise-in of the season. It's in the 70's today
I drove the little red convertible up to the cruise in today, it’s longest journey since I’ve had it, and probably in over 15 years. I didn’t get any pictures, but it was a great turnout for a beautiful November day in Michigan.
Pictures or it didn't happen. You just moved it out of the garage. Snapped a photo. And pushed it back in. Lol
