    piston at bdc, feed in as much rope as will fit and turn the crank' until the rope jams the piston. the valves are now held. also as above tap the edge of each retainer to break the seal between it and the locks. with the air method there is that possibility of dropping a valve onto the piston...

    re the 90w in the steering box, if you can get it i'd use landrover front hub swivel lube. it's not oil and it's not grease, sort of halfway between the two. this is it on uk ebay... landrover front swivel grease for sale | eBay you'll never have a leak again. :thumbsup: neil.

    as above a chinky rpm copy with a holley/edelbrock carb would be where i'd be going. make sure to regulate the fuel pressure to carb freindly psi though.

    in a truck then yes i change my mind and i'd use the stock dual plane unless as mentioned you sell both and buy a performer rpm air gap. as an aside the torker was named that as it gave better torque than other single plane intakes. they were listed as 2500-6500 rpm.

    the mounting bolt pattern/angles are different from magnum to la, so unless your inlet is one of the dual bolt pattern types then they won't interchange. if your inlet fits then both motors must be la type.

    with all the work you're doing for him it'd be nice if he bought you a gear vendors kit for your barracuda, lol. he doesn't seem scared to spend money twice on the charger and after all you only want/need one o/d kit. :thumbsup:

    at that kind of weight i'd be inclined to over estimate and have no comeback. if you said 700lbs instead of 650lbs it's unlikely to change the shipping cost. maybe call them and ask if an extra 50lbs would cost more?

    are you spraying the back side of the repair panels with weld through primer before welding them on? at least they won't start rusting from inside without you realising. neil.

    i'd say if you can weld and gusset the k member you're more than capable of making your own from 2/3mm plate. it's just boxing the underside or the arms. :thumbsup: neil.
