I'm currently restoring an old Mercury battery charger. I can't recall what year it was manufactured, late '30's early '40's I believe.

Here's mine, 1938 half ton. In a couple more years ! But this is what it looks like now, Rack and pinion disc brakes and tubular upper and lwr. With the new shoes and rims, rear 4 link with panhard bar and coil-overs. The ride height is set, a little 318 and OD trans sitting in it now for...

    Moparfest

I spent all of Saturday and most of Sunday inside the arena last year. Those cars and owners deserve special attention, I did a very quick walk around both days, but that's exactly what it was, a quick walk around. I still have some arena duties this year, but I will not limit myself to that...

    Favorite high impact color? (1969-1971)

Bahama yellow EL5, maybe not the brightest or flashiest, but it sure screams muscle car of that period.

1971 plymouth 340 duster orange crush promotion show car y93

EV2's Duster VIN ends with xxx283, a pic of his tag is in his profile. Looks like he simply copied this add http://bobcurrieautosales.com/view.php?vars=6/Plymouth/Duster/1971 that "StrokerScamp" posted, and "Deuce" from Cobourg Ont. bought the car with the VIN xxx279. Hope this clarifies the...

    what years do these fit

Eddie, is that a Mopar part no. I see there ? If so, throw the # on here, it'll be easier to identify that way. The bases all look very similar, between models and years.

    8 3/4" axle

Good catch, I re-read the original post...Yeah an E body is quite a bit wider, I somehow figured it was a B body rear, sorry!

    8 3/4" axle

No major mods are required, the spring perches need to be moved in. The overall width will work, as long as you don't expect large tires, some wheel offset can compensate for some of that. You could bolt it in, but it's not recommended, the leaf itself can be bent/forced to fit. But again, it's...

    Original motor ?

The VIN stamping on the block started for 1968 production year. The best you can do to verify that it is correct, is to verify the assembly date stamped on the front of the block, driver side, just below the cylinder head. Those numbers will need to be decoded. Good luck!

    71 demon production numbers

Fj6 is the only "High Impact" shade of green available in '71 which is "Green go" or "Sassy Grass Green", which is not a dark metallic green. So 998 is likely the lowest breakdown you will end up with. For a Bump, to see if anyone else can help.

    71 demon production numbers

10,098 is the total for '71 340 Demon, I'm looking for the trans. breakdown.

    71 demon production numbers

I'll look up the production numbers for you, but likely someone will post them before I get a chance to get back to you. But keep in mind, there is no breakdown on paint colors, unless it's a "High Impact". The same goes with the 3 speeds or 4 speeds. I believe the breakdown is Auto or Manual.
