IMO PRW are J.U. N. K. The ones I bought from Hughes engines dont set flush on the valve stem. Thought it might be the stud being bent possibly. Tried them on a different engine with the same result.

agreed. you have to use their pickup. its a good looking pan. baffles and trap doors as well as a crank scraper.

I used the factory one and did as you did and shortened the brass fitting and trimmed the hose a little. No worries.

Just a thought but I would get rid of the clear filter. It's not safe. Could break and cause a big fire in a little wreck.

Start simple. Check wire routing to ensure the correct wire is on its coresponding plug.

5.9 with 2000 Dakota starter. First of all I don't have a pic. My question is, what kind of bolts or studs does the starter use? The top bolt hole on the starter is bigger than the bottom one and looks as if it uses a shouldered bolt. Any I site or advise would be greatly appreciated.

The ends of the cork gasket should fit in a little slot made for the gasket in the end seals. Just put a little dab of RTV on both sides of the gasket, because if its gonna leak it will be form there.

sedanman, IMO too much turbulence created by all of those 90s. I don't remember the physics but do recall that flow decreases every time there is a 90 degree bend and you have the worst kind of 90s to promote laminar flow. 72 has the best flow rating with the hoses with no 90s. I bet it will...

I plan on doing mine the same way. Made some brackets out of so 1/2 in steel that bolt to the bumper bolt holes. Then I plan to lift it with my front end loader.

Kevco pans are excellent quality and very affordable.

bore it .030 and stroke it to 408.

there was a thread on here the other day. talking about a billet piece that Summit sales that gets rid of the 90 degree adapter and uses O-rings to seal. Like 39 bucks.

I would guess the the rubber motor mounts have compressed as far as they are going to compress and simply won't go any further. You could maybe lift the front of the engine a little using the motor mounts as the pivot point and possibly get a little more drop in the rear. But you don't want to...
