Never seen a fitting like that, ''AN style'', come with a new pump.....maybe i'm just too old...lol.
A good parts store should have the fittings you need to make a good solid connection to your stock line.
If the popping is indeed from the valve adjustment, I'd think it could be from a little valve sinking on the exhaust side (tight). TMM's numbers will surely keep you on the safe side imo.
For the most part, No ... If it's done right. The shocks/valving and spring choice are the most important part. You need to decide what's most important? Regulation street, Dragstrip, or AutoX/handling?
I can't tell you the largest size, but are the current tires rubbing on the inside or outside? The wheel offset will make a big difference? If you know what it is, let the early A guys here know what rim you're using...
Welcome to FABO.....
If this is correct from MoparMuscle..... You best keep it original.

Boost will always get you some big power..........But my personal liking is to do a n/a build. I don't know how much power you want to make or how fast you want to go, but I'd love to see a nice clean 250 hp 273 build that has great power in a fairly light A body and has nice drivability.
Yikes!!! I assume it was a fuel fire and not electrical? How did it run on the test drive? I wonder if the float stuck and just overflowed? Let us know what your further investigation uncovers?
Rumble is right about the exhaust.......listen to some cars and get a idea what's going on with some of the newer mufflers.
As far as the cam, you want to stay pretty mild on a street style low compression 273, that has a stockish trans and gears. I assume yours is a hydraulic engine, so off...
If all four are the same size, switch the front and rears.......If you still have issues up front, that will mostly rule out the wheels & tires, unless it's a mounting problem?
They look real nice. A little close at the spring, but might be ok. I've run a wheel tire combo on some other cars like that with the white letters turned in and it gave them a little shave :D.
Good defroster, wipers, headlights and snow tires if warrented!!!! A updated electronic ignition wouldn't be bad upgrade either. Alot of us and our parents drove manual everything cars and we're still around to tell about it. As long as there's not a loose nut behind the wheel.....lol, these...
I'm not sure how a street pump vs a race pump is as far as the amount of vacuum produced. Sounds like a reasonable alternative?
I remembered a article by David Reher (pro stock builder) regarding oil control on wet sump engines......here is a quote and the link to the whole article.

1960 had a A323 2 spd. auto, but honestly i tell what that trans is?
P.S. after some parts lookup i see that trans listed as 1961 also on some sites. so i guess that wont help.
