Thats why head studs corrode and snap off in the head. Use Stainless!! If you use studs you can change gaskets w/o having to drain cooling every time.

For a 340. I got one for my 360 from mancini a few years back. It was on there clearance reack so I think the are not in production anymore. It was a MP one piece and it fit my 360 perfectly.

I did the same thing with a 73 Duster.... I used a normal passenger car pan w/ a center sump. The truck oil pans are the ones with the rear sump. You also may need new motor mounts for the 360 as the 318 mounts for a s6 conversion are different (I think). LoL This site has all the engine swap...

in 2004 my buddy bought a longblock 360 from Kragen Auto Parts for like $875 (What I was told) or something... Very cheap... All he has is Doug's Headers, RPM Air Gap, Carter 600cfm and MSD 6al and Distand 3.55 gears. He runs 13.9's in the 1/4... Not Bad Good Luck

Mancini has the MP gasket set... It says in the notes that the fel-pro kit is more for a complete rebuild (has all of the orings, valve seals and such).

I got the block for free from a guy I bought my Duster off of. I just put in in my shed. Just took my first good look at it yesterday and noticed the caps where not all there!!

I went back to get the caps and those things are on TIGHT!!! Cant get enough leverage on my back w/o breaking my hands... So I just pulled the whole motor out of the truck on my own! Funny how all these guys there are looking at me like they have never seen someone pull a motor by themselves...

Hey everyone, So I took my block all the way out today and noticed it is missing the rear main cap and two of the middle ones. This block is a 360 and has a 1971 Casting date. I just went to Pick your Part and found a 360 with a 1977 casting date. My question is; Will the Main Caps off the 77...
