Scored a new A Body today

Just Mentioning it.. But Filler has Come a LONG way from the original Bondo. If you use a Quality Filler (we use Rage evercoat at the shop) It will outlast lead. But if you are dead set against it. You can look at lead free "lead". Eastwood Has some, as do other places.

what do you think i should do

Actually it would be kinda cool to see a GTS look alike with the side trim. Because after all, even the stock performance look gets boring after a while.

    Is it wrong to clone?

I am exactly the opposite! I have always hated the demon taillights, I was going to put duster taillights on a demon! Or put a demon front on a duster. I say, Do what makes you happy. Unless it is a really rare well optioned car, then get another and do what makes you happy! :toothy10: but...

    IMportance of tortion bars

Actually Porsche bragged about using them in the 80's. Indy cars, midgets, sprint cars all use them. The only difference between torsion bars and coil springs is that the coils are coiled. I know, shocking right? As for rate, 72bluNblu had a really nice write-up so I won't repeat it. Cjh: If...

    Daily driving an A-body

I drove my Duster For over a year as my daily. The only times it let me down were my fault. I ran it out of gas, and Didn't fix a couple of things that needed to be fixed. That and I didn't have a spare, but we won't go into that. These cars are pretty much Bulletproof and I would still be...

    dream car

Technically I am not a mopar trader.. You see... Pagani's use mercedes engines, who oned mopar and have a lot of stuff in the newer ones. So eally I'm not a traitor... Ok.. Even I will admit that was a little thin.

weighed my duster. here's the results

Wow.. That is pretty good. Mine weighed about 3250 with me, my backpack full of school books, and about 3/4 tank of gas. It is all iron sb with AC, 904, and a bench seat. But that was perfectly stock and I am sure it weighs a little more now. I'll have to go weigh it soon.

Gulf oil spill making me re-think my project...

I have a 318 2bbl with 2.76 gears... Kinda slow on the launch.. But you can wind it out! And I love the drivability.. lopes on the highway and great in traffic with low rpm torque. I get 17 mixed driving (and a little pushing it through the twisties..) to 24 if I go real easy. daily driver and...

8.8 Explorer rear end almost kicked my rear...

Just think about yourself... You wrap your arms around yourself and "get small" when you are cold. and when you are hot you want to spread out to let the heat escape.

8.8 Explorer rear end almost kicked my rear...

freeze the part you want to shrink (the tube) and heat the part you want to get bigger (the housing).

8.8 Explorer rear end almost kicked my rear...

Did you try heating the housing and putting dry ice or something in the tube?

    Carbon Fiber

Yes, It would definitely be worth the wait! I looked it up it looks really cool! I would also be willing to work up some stuff for you in exchange for the material.
  24. bjkadron

    Carbon Fiber

How much are we talking here? and what weave? that would dictate the uses. I was thinking a shift boot, All sorts of heat shields and stuff.. Actually my mind goes nuts just thinking about all the stuff you could use it for!
  25. bjkadron

    Carbon Fiber

I would say do it.. And if you have any extra you should send it to me.. I have some uses for it.
