you either need to swap out seats or start chopping at that one. i bet you can shorten the legs and put a c notch in the frame to clear the hump. i just swapped to some sunfire buckets in my duster i put them as low to the floor as i could since i had to chop the brackets off and start fresh...

what does every one do with thier seat belts when they swap to buckets? i put some in my 74 duster with the shoulder belt but i have to do something with the floor mounted latches. the have the plastic housings to pass through the bench, just doesnt work that well.

same exact seat as my 74 duster. its way more comfy than my 69 dart seat, well except for where some previous owner busted the springs.

the 73 had 2" thick? that would explain why my 74 duster seat is so much more comfy than my 69 dart, the dart had about 3/4" foam over the springs. it was in good shape but i added 1/4 or 3/8" to it from the fabric store.

you pretty much have to remove everything connected to the dash if you are removing it weather the windshield is in or out, so i left that step out.

i liek the bench in my 69, at one time i thought of putting a prostick i nit i put i to nthe hump in front of the seat and i hated it. i couldnt sit back against the seat and hammer the gears. if you have buckets you could move the shifter back so you dont have to lean foward to shift.

to re instal the dash you just reverse the hardware new blind nuts upside down, on the dash frame instead of the mounting flanges, inserting the shortest possible bolts from underneath, there is room under the gasket for the blind nuts and some thread to stick out, but if the bolts are too long...
