All x heads had 2.02 valves and none were ever factory installed on 360's. There were no factory 2.02 heads installed on 360's.

An exhaust leak between head and manifold on a specific cyclinder can sound like a rocker or valve, even with a stethoscope. Pull the spark plug wires of on that bank, one at a time and see which cyclinder it is and check to see if there is exhaust leaking under that manafold port. That was...

I learned something new. I never heard of a 360 coming with 2.02 valves.

It appears that the pistons are positive decked from the one pic (also no lips in the jugs). This engine must have had some guts with those 2.02 valves and that high of a compression. I would bottle hone it, new rings and rod and mains, YOU CAN DO IT, torque wrench and plastigauge the hard work...

If your going to replace the rings you might as well replace the rod and main bearing when the rods are out. If you don't have a groove built up in the cyclinder at the top of piston travel, enough to catch a nail on, run with what you got for low budget!!!!!!!! Put it back together.

Banjo. 360 are plentiful and better IMO. Post your location as some of the members have extra blocks laying around at a reasonable price.

Yes the 360-4 was also used in the aspen and volare (roadrunner package). They had windage trays and big exhaust manifolds and low compression.

That 74 already has the drop link, my 73 /6 duster does.

I don't know if its mopar, but don't some of the cam bearings inside diameter get smaller as the they go deeper into the block? I think I read this somewhere????????:read2:

One book says 25 lbs and the other 30lbs. I started to torque the other side and with an 18 torque wrench I quit because I was afraid to break another. I am going to buy all new bolts and try 20lbs. Thanks men for your input. Walt:cheers:
