1996 Ram 1500 5.9 4x4 is surging when stopped at lights. I just had the crank sensor done and it starts and runs fine just surges. I heard it may be the intake gasket? I am about to off this truck, I am getting frustrated. It has 102k miles and everything works but I keep having problems. Any ideas?

I have been planning all along to paint my 1969 Dart GTS 4 speed back to W1 white. I know it will take away from the value, but what do you think about changing from the original white to black. This would make it a triple black car. I have really been thinking about doing this. Talk me out of it.
