1968 Dodge Dart GT Sleeping Beauty?

Quarter was solid. With the skim coat it looked like a lot of Bondo.
Here's my new quarters. Best saving yours.

They came out pretty good. Definitely bottoms are firm. Starting with carpet above the burlap over the springs.

Found that I had two decent arm rest pads after cleaning them. They were thrown in a box with the miscellaneous trunk items. All covered in grease.

OER Premium Quality Interior Paint 1968 Dodge, Plymouth [526 Metallic Maroon, 12 oz. Aerosol]

Part Number: 691-PP526

Delivered for paint. I got a compliment from the shop owner and his main man.
I rolled it off the trailer and then unhooked my trailer to leave it there. When I got back to the shop the Dart was rolled out of the way. We went over all the little areas I had circled. Showed them where I blocked too deep etc.
Then Paul said we thought you had left and we were saying everybody says it is ready for paint. They never are per Paul and Shaun, but you are the closest since we opened the shop. I take that as a win.

Cleaned the garage and moved cars and lifts to make room for the Dart. It goes where the lights are best and I can have a little heat in the winter. First bay is dedicated to the Dart.

TVs are so cheap and a 100 years old. My wife will hang out if I have the news on. Most of the cars are cheap as well!!

When I went to the shop today, Shaun is having the shop rework every panel. I brought it to them with all the metal work finished. Then they fixed all the dents etc, then I worked the car after priming (blocking it)(I got my big compliment-pretty close to paint ready/it was not), then his apprentice reworked the dart, now Shaun is going over the entire car to really get it ready for paint! He noticed things I had missed that have to be touched to be found even with blocking. It is like waiting for Christmas.

This is the last quarter to be touched before paint.

i've made that choice in the past. go to a show and spend money or work on a customer job and earn money which i can then spend on my toys? it was usually earn money for my toys, lol.
neil.

I finally laid eyes on the Dart today.
It came out pretty good. There is some trash he is polishing out. It should be ready tomorrow. I checked all the areas I was concerned about especially under the rockers. The coverage was great.
