70 dart 470 ci drag car build.

My only thing is I don't like things moving if I could possibly be underneath them! Lol, I've jacked up two-story buildings with a roof load on top of that, with me as the only person underneath there, and no one else around, replacing the bottom floor load bearing walls. I don't know the exact situation of what happened over there, I'm just glad you're not hurt! however if I had a vehicle on its side with a shop crane, I'd probably tapcon a 2x4 behind the back wheels just so that thing couldn't slide backwards at the Worst Time.... Glad you posted this thread man, that's a wicked looking motor Brother! Along with the rest of Your Build! I may be confused, but I thought you were going for a 10-second cage at first? I'm glad you're going to have it rated tat 8.5 though, that gives you room for improvement, laugh out loud! That being said, is that the same motor that you had on the dyno a few months ago? or did y'all decide to rip that down and just go back through it? If there were any issues, I'm glad you guys caught it before it caused catastrophic engine damage or other things...
Yeah what I was trying to do was slide the car over a few feet so I could work on it easier.
I had bought this cage a while back and yes have it certified for 8.50 but wanting to just run 10.00s. the engine was tore down because it was losing power and then rat bastid found a bunch of stuff wrong. I bought some stuff to fix it and did some stuff to make it better at work and a little more camshaft. I'll try to get better details later since I'm heading out.

No actual work on the car today, dogs were being pita. I tried to notch my pipe with a grinder and no thanks that's too much time. Went and bought a pipe notcher and I'll hit it hard tomorrow.

How were the dogs screwing you up? I’ve met those dogs. They are little sweethearts.

The dogs weren't screwing him up. the fact is he wasn't listening to them.

They weren't screwing me up they were just doing puppy stuff to my nice yard (holes).
I think the dogs are getting better behaved or I'm just a bit more accepting that they need me, they're not cats . I can Honestly I love those little rats now. But I can't leave them alone for more than 10 minutes or **** gets f'd up lol.

I think you nailed it.
I'm still learning puppies, my wife and I have only had cats besides the raccoons in my life which have always seemed to be with me since I can remember. If I believed in reincarnation I think I must've been a raccoon before a redhead redneck

Did you know..... Building a roll cage is not easy ?
I'm learning a lot in this process, spent half of the day taking the pups to the vet.. they're now 20 pounds from 6 pounds when we got them. After that I was talking to my local welding company about the probably failing millermatic 35, I talked to this guy 3 hours in 2 visits lol, went down the street to the steel yard and had more 6 by 6 plates cut .
I mocked up my bar that goes to the main hoop to the floor under the dash. Then built another outrigger frame off of the front frame rail.
I got it where I think it should be and welded it in.
It was a long day. The harbor freight pipe notcher works excellent, I'd say for Chinese it was good and also I had to purchase a 1/2 inch drive drill .
I'm hoping for a lot more progress tomorrow with a 12 hour day.

LOL you’ve got to cut out the bullshitting!!! If your MIG takes a dump on you, you can borrow mine to get your stuff finished.

Sad news, I think my raccoon was a victim of vehicular homicide, hitting a raccoon in broad daylight is just being a piece of ****. Here's Claire 1st and Annie 2nd.

You need to get Tim in there with a wire wheel to cleanup some of that rust.
Make sure he has his safety goggles on.

Might have him help me drill spot welds, that floor is shot and of course I'm going to do it the hard way and put a new floor in with a cage installed. Yep I'll get him some safety glasses, and ginger ale.

I hate people that hit animals. Pisses me off Greatly. Could be a human... Sorry for Your Loss there Bro
I was really looking forward to her new batch of babies coming over this year....I hope she didn't have her litter already.

I sure don’t share your love of raccoons. They are lousy thieving pigs that aren’t just happy with a nightly meal. They made off with over 13 pounds of Meow Mix in one night. And tried another heist a few nights later. Skunks and raccoons are on my “hit list”

Man that sucks Dude. I've had wild pet Racs that would take food from my hand. I actually had a guy tell me once " I ain't swerving or braking for no animal" I got no respect for his sorry ***. And he better not have a deer bounce out! Might F em up!

Yeah they do that stuff but I just laugh, I credit racoons for keeping me alert and alive a few times back 12 years ago when I was a ****** addict living under a bridge.

At my grandparents house when I was young I got to be around a lot of wild/tamed animals it was really cool.
