massive reconfiguration time again.

When we got the car the interior was already out of it and we brought the car home with the interior in the back of the U-Haul LOL I never did do anything like put the backseat in or anything before so it was kind of easy when we just started going performance. Now we just want to drive it more and have it more comfortable.
You'll get a lot more use out of it driving it throughout the summer vs a few seconds a 1/4 at a time :)

Not stopping... all wires firewall forward gone and windshield out.

And again I'll likely be ready to race YR befor he is?

What??? This is what happens when you smoke pot while working on your car.

My junk is ready. I'd even run it with out the 2 step. Need to check on that this week. I can turn the key and drive my roach right now. Well...when the rest of the snow melts.

LMFAO !!! NOOOOWWWW HE'S READY....
BA HAHAHA!

The car has been ready. I was born ready. I'm just not all they cool about driving 3.5 hours to race, when I can drive 20 minutes and be at the track.

Hell, I am coming to PDX on Wednesday night for a Thursday doc appointment. I'm there at least 6 times a year.

.

Drive the 20 minutes and make a pass..... post the E.T. slip. :)

It's snowing here. Hopefully, my mother in law will finish chemo by the end of the year. That will take a load off my wife and myself.
I completely understand. A lot of things definitely take priority over cars. But the whole summer not to take one 20 minute drive to the strip and make a couple of passes and get back home...... :poke:

There is more than just that going on!!!! I wish that was the only thing happening.

20 minutes from Walla Walla or Spokane ?

Renegade. Just looked and found I have a RR flat. Idiotic goat head poked the tire. I'll deal with that when I get back from PDX.

Someday I want to hit Spokane and Walla Walla. In 1993 was going to Spokane but my friends wife broke her water while we were standing in the driveway. Never made it there after that.

That's a good one? Smoking pot? You know usually when someone is pointing the finger there's three pointing back at get them? In the time that you been talking about that two-step I've purchased one mounting it on my steering wheel then mounted it on the floor then mounted on an automatic shifter when we built that different motor and transmission for the car and now it's (2 step) out of the car and will probably be back in before your snow melts LOL and now a flat tire?boy, the "REASONS" just keep rolling in LOL :poke:

ANYWAYS, I got all the break stuff out and removed the dash. Now from the back of the doors forward is completely stripped. No need to remove break/clutch pedals. Now I'd like to get the rest of the roll bar out.

The flat tire just happened I guess. I drove it the other day. Can't figure out how I picked up a goat head. My dogs usually get all of them in their paws.

I just haven't had time to,worry about the 2 step. Maybe before I head to PDX tomorrow ill stop in and check on it.

Besides....you're younger than me.

REALLY!!?? A goat head? I have now officially heard them all!
You need to take a couple passes in that heap befor we race. If a goats head is giving you a flat tire I'm less than confident about being on the track with that junk (as you call it). Ya, I think I'd like to see a couple of current time slips from that junk to be on the safe side?

I'll find a couple of goat heads for you and bring them over. After the you step on them, well let you run them over and see how your tires do!

Let me guess...you've never seen a goat head? Probably not. They don't happen in snow.

Damn I'm funny.

You're a goat head! LOL just get that Heap running and post a time slip would you for christ sakes everybody's tired of it.
And for the record yes I know what a goat's head is and that's why I posted what I did because I can't believe that a little itty bitty goats head is your "reason" LOL

AGAIN ANYWAYS,
The reason I'm posting this reconfiguration on the racing part of the forum is it's still my race car and plan A is to make it more comfortable and easier and cheaper to take to the track. Meaning more time slips! The only changes I'm making to the drivetrain is taking the vertigate out and putting the normal shifter in and probably putting the carburetor linkage back to Progressive instead of one to one. It gives it a little better street manners.
I do have a thread in the suspension part of the Forum to get more specific with rebuilding the front end. And I also have a thread in the body and trim part of the Forum dealing with my headliner issues and my door issues.
My goal in the next few weeks is to get the engine bay prepared for paint and paint. Get the K-frame and steering box dialed and reconnect. Get the motor and tranny in and out of the way of the snowmobiles. I'll probably start with getting the rest of the roll bar out though, just to get all the messy stuff out of the way.

Can't wait to see the finished product! :D

I'm having a hard time thinking of a nut or bolt on this car that I haven't posted pictures of over the years ??

Ahhhh, the nut behind the wheel! And i'm not talking about your wife either:poke::lol:
