Without much of a no prep scene that I've come across so far, she will be backnon radials and probably a glass front end, doors and trunk with a respray so I can get down light enough to be competitive on the track.

Been busy doing alot of driving. But we made it to Kellogg, Idaho tonight and have about 5.5-6 hrs tomorrow and we're done without he cross country move. The new truck has handled eveeybting like a beast, including that 14a road through the big horn national forest.

Hit Mount Ruahmore and then Yellowstone prior to coming here today. We had an absolute blast at the other two. As I left Yellowstone I got a message from Wes Taylor letting me know the RPM Magazine Article had been published as part of the July 2021 issue. I personally love it and can't wait to close on this house on Wednesaday and get some of those pictures he took framed and possibly a couple hard copies of the magazine to have around.

Let me know what you guys think.

Great article and it's good to see that you are getting some recognition for your efforts. Keep it going!
Thank you very much. I plan to. Just getting settled here in Washington amidst all this heat.

Looking to make the first race at Pacific Raceway as part of one of the West Coast Grudge Events. But ill have all the weight out of it and set up for front half racing. See how deep in the 5s I can get up here.

Well we got settled, still waiting on the movers to show up with our stuff. We all.love the house and the yard and the GARAGE!!! I finally have one commensurate with our car collection and my abilities/workout routine. Dart is in the 3rd hole because it's longer down there so more room. Then the Camaro in no.2 and our workout equipment will go in bay one.

Being the 4th of July weekend and the new house, I decided to crack open a bottle of my blantons to celebrate.

Keep in mind this holiday is brought to you by citizens with guns.

I wish you all the best and I'll be posting more pictures and videos as I test things out and make some passes up here.

Hey guys I'm back and finally have wifi at the house so I can update everything.

The new converter is showing much better results during the initial 2 step testing. I did that the other day after i drove the dart to the local grocer to get a few things. Have a list of a few test n tune events at pacific raceway that I'm going to try to attend before the west coast grudge event in August.

I also got the digital copies of the pictures he took for the article and man he makes it look way better than it is.

Well looks like the east coast IHRA and the west coast NHRA differences are catching up. May have to drive down to Pacific Raceway tomorrow if he has time to cert the cage on the Dart. After that I have to schedule licensing passes to get licensed to make passes at what the car should be able to do.

This is the race I'm trying to make so inhave u til Aigust 13-14 to.try and get all that done. If it can't be done in that time frame then I may just start the winter early.

Got the green light from the cage certification inspector at Pacific so looks like I'll load her up and head down there tonight to see what the verdict is.

Made a few passes and once I finally got the go ahead to send it i blew the lower radiator hose off at the starting line ending the night. Got her fixed up today and tested. No overheating.
So to continue the licensing process we will be bracket racing next weekend. That will get me 2 qualifying passes and at least round 1. Which should complete what I need for the NHRA license. Fingers crossed. As long as I run the times I need to on those 3 passes.

Found a few issues with the tune after looking over data from the passes we made. Fixed those issues and uploaded a new spicier tuneup. Should be alot rowdier next time down. New sfi 3.3 gloves that are required will be here today so ill have those in time for this weekend.

Gloves came in today. Will be making my fastest passes so.fsr this weekend(pending nothing goes wrong). Plan to make the first pass at 24psi, then 26 psi, then, If I have more room for and 8.50 1/4 mile, I'll make my last one at 30 psi given how the track handles the power.

Made some more passes this weekend. Finished the 8.50 cert and pushed the 7.50. He said a few small changes and it'll be 7.50 ready have a few chassis changes go make, to go faster which we will do next time.

Off the trailer it went 9.51 followed by 10.2 and then 9.88 by the end of the night. Too much pedaling early on but some shock changes and tire pressure changes ought to keep us from pedaling and enable us to stand on the throttle as we get on down the road. Worst case I may raise the ladder bars up a hole and reset the pinion and go from there.

May make one more pass with the tire pressure and shock change, and if it does it again then make the bar change at the track.

Got some stuff fixed. The last pass I had a dragging brake slund on the driver side. Come to find out the ebrake tab that sits inside the back plate was never removed on that side when the axles were done like it shoulda been. And it caught in something during the pass and cut the backing plate causing it to rub the rotor and actually break off a chip. Luckily I didn't want to make another pass with that sound and caught it. It's bees.removed now and I've made some adjustments to the setting on the front shocks, as well as a few clicks on the rear compression. Should be testing again Saturday to see of it helps. That'll be the last nhra pass and my last tnt before the MOB 275 event on August 13-14.

I so did some more trimming to the rear filler panel between the rear bumper and the body. Also sanded and painted jt to match the body. I like.it alot more body color. Need to so some bracing in the lower part of the fiberglass bumpers. Especially in the rear where the wing is adding the pressure to the bumper.

One of the photographers from the track was kind enough to share this picture he took of my first pass. Which ended up being the only one where it hooked up halfway decent out of the hole. But from the looks of the tire it needs a little more air pressure.

Got changes made to the shocks and added a little more pinion angle in the back. Was pretty low before for a ladder bar car. So we're gon a see if we can't give her a little more bite and get it to plant the tire a little harder out of the hole with the added tire pressure.

Trucks finally showed up with all our stuff as well so I finally have all my tools back as well as our house hold belongs after living off air matresses, 1 pot, 1 pan and paper plates for the last 30 days.

Well ingot the final nhra licensing passes done by the skin of my teeth. I'm much better at running all out than I am at trying to run a set time and a set mph.

But luckily it's over, and luckily I did it on that last pass. Found a small oil leak and the trans brake wire came off the transmission on the last pass.

In light of all the radial racing up here and lack of no preps I decided to switch to Mickey Thompson radial pros. Got them mounted up and ready to go.

After the last few passes I noticed the car pulling right after the launch(and riding higher on the driver side) and decided to take a look at the suspension and it turned out the driver side ladder bar was 1/4" longer than my passenger side. So I took a few flats out on driver side and brought it back to dead even with passenger side. Adjusted the ARB back to neutral and she is now level again.

I didn't get that all done in time to make the West Coast Grudge Event but ill make the next one for sure.

The main reason I didn't grt it done in time was because I put a bunch of time sweat and paint in my new garage. Got the walls done finally but now we're gonna order the epoxy coating for the floor and I have to get this new ac system installed in the house. So racecar will be on a little bit of a back burner till that's done. But I'll be scaled again and ready for Gaptoberfest on October 16th.
