Stop in for a cup of coffee

Arm was sore for a few days and just felt bad. She said though if she never gets shingles again all worth it. Has had it three times.
IDK, my wife got the vaccine and although she said she didn’t feel well afterward...I felt her thoroughly a few times and she felt just fine to me!

Damn, I lost a friend to shingles a few months back. I'll be ok. Much better than the disease.

Just finished ripping my CD's to my hard drive...

Now I can install my CD/DVD software....

My bride has been in the Netherlands the last couple weeks with her Mom on a river boat cruise.
I'll be sure and double check her and make sure she feels ok. :D

Sounds like a good practice.
Theoretically I don't know if it really matters but my gut feeling is not to bend metal things in reverse directions.

As long as you stay in the elastic deformation range, and not the permanent deformation range, it shouldn't hurt...

I'll say 60mph @ 2700rm and I go WOT. Although the same bog is through the entire speed and rpm range. Doesnt seem to change if Im going 30, 45, 60 or ??? Same bog

Also keep in mind that the accelerator pump adjustment can affect the engine and make it bog... Have you tried to increase or decrease the amount of squirt by changing the linkage to a different hole on the accelerator pump arm to see if that helps or hurts???

Yes correct on what my timing looks like.

Originally I thought carb tune but since the AVS2 is so new Edelbrock didnt have tuning sheets out yet (really still dont). So I called them for advice on which way to tune the carb and they told me to mess with timing. Car ran fine prior to changing the timing just that extreme bog. Now the bog is mostly gone and I thought maybe increase my mechanical 2* more. So is it recommended to use the vacuum can or not? I can tweak it so it only pulls so much more but I dont know how much is to much or if it will benefit anything..

Try bumping the timing by 2° increments and take it for a test drive and see if it gets better or worse...

If it gets worse, then go the opposite direction and see if it gets better....

Keep bumping it by 2° to see where it falls off, then back it off to where it ran best...

Well darn it! Left side slid on out no issues. Right side not so lucky. Have to order a removal tool. Should be here Thursday. Unfortunately looks like I’ll be missing Mopar night at the Fosters Freeze on Monday.

How about getting a set of vise grips and grinding the teeth off so they won't gouge the torsion bar metal... Also may want to use something to protect the bar from the vise grips like some thin sheet metal that you can wrap around the bar to keep it from getting gouged and still be able to clamp it...

You can do this now and maybe make the cruise this week...

Like some 3/4" copper tubing split into 2 halves an inch or 2 long?

I put 3 u-bolts through the flat side of a big piece of angle iron. wrapped the bar with some rubber (like a thick inner tube), u-bolts around the t-bar, tighten it up and tap the angle iron with a dead blow hammer. worked perfect. And all made from crap in the shop..

Morning.
-3 and clear. Warming up to +8 today. But the sun will be nice.

Ok, stupid technical question of the evening.

I changed the timing in my car at the request of Edelbrock due to a major bog (almost kill the car bog going WOT) with the new AVS2 carb. They got all my specs of the car and according to them I had way to much initial timing (20*) and wanted me to change it to 14* initial and add more mechanical from 14* (Im now at 18* mechanical)=32*total. Timing curve starts @ 1400 and all in by 2500. So I tried it, the bog is still slightly there but nothing like it was, which is way better. However I noticed my engine temp is about 10* warmer. It was 180* and now 190*.

Im stupid when it comes to timing. Thoughts?
Running a vac advance alos?

Morning Coffee groupies!
