Hump day . Come get your coffee.
Heard of that too, common with diesel fuel tanks. So I was told a story from an old mechanic. Gas tank was leaking on a customer's car. The old shop owner told him to fix it. He didn't know how. Old guy showed him. Start the car on the lift, cover exhaust with a hose, feed other end in gas tank filler neck so all exhaust is blowing in the tank. Grabbed the welder, and welded the tank, right there, while running with gas in tank. He freaked. Old guy says, won't blow up without air, the carbon monoxide will not let it ignite!! This person never tried it himself, was a mechanic his whole life and 100% honest. I would never, but it is said to have taken place. Scary ****
Morning all busy, busy here, and it ain't gonna slow down any time soon.

4 days of rain may be a good time to get started on the Fargo repower...
We had a family friend killed when I was just around 10-11 years old. He was trying to weld on an old propane tank. It went boom. He supposedly had opened the valves and thought it was empty but it had enough to igniteHeard of that too, common with diesel fuel tanks.
But i did work with a welder that had a fuel tank explode too.
When i think of welding a gas tank i remember him. Not going to happen.
Clean tank, hot soapy water and dried in the sun. Then i will weld it.
360Did you say you were putting in a 360? Or are you talking about electrical?
I don't really get stressed it's just the amount of time I'm putting in.I don't envy you, good luck, stressful at times stuff
I don't really get stressed it's just the amount of time I'm putting in.
There's really no time now to do anything else, but this.
It's all good though, a few months and it will all come together.
Well guess that puts me at about $16.50/hr
I have a friend who has a remodeling business for years. He has a crew of 10. He is going to oversee the new house remodel. Going to put in all new flooring, carpet and hardwood, paint inside, gut the kitchen, new appliances, kitchen cabinets, island, new plantation shutters, new screen doors, new soaker tub, demo the partition wall in the detached garage, paint the floor, add electrical plugs and lights, wi-fi stero system for the house, built in shelving in the unfinished part of the basement, flooring in the finished part of the basement, and a few other things I'm not thinking of right now. Oh landscaping and concrete work. A month or so of work and $$. We decided to do it all up front and not piece meal it out over several years. We got our new place 75$ under the market price. The seller didn't want to use a relator and she decided the price...oh well. We're taking that 75k and a little more and putting it into the house. We're going to get it done, and enjoy all of our years of hard work and saving for the big one.I know by the time we put ours on the market we didn't want to have anything to do in the new house, sick of painting, fixing etc. It is time consuming but worth it in the end, sweat equity
