Stop in for a cup of coffee

If you want I actually have some NOS ecu's that the re potting looks like crap. If you want a good spare. Just the ride.

We still have a couple of feet in the yard but man o man did we get some thaw action yesterday! Woo Hoo! I get to clean the house today as wife decided to fly home for a booty call tomorrow. She has not been home since January. She will stay up here for a week then right back down to Ark as we are on the verge of indoor plumbing. She wants to be onsite when plumber does the tie ins. We dropped the pump in the well yesterday and will get that finished today.

Golf looks like with Cheryl retiring soon we are playing the little white ball game again.
We played couples tournaments all over the Midwest for a few years. We won our age group several times.
Here locally at the time we had belonged to the Country Club. It's nice because they keep the membership at 500 or less. That includes social members who don't play golf. With that you can walk on about anytime without a tee time and play a beautiful and challenging course. We quit because Cheryl was working so much, and I was going to car shows almost every weekend. We just weren't using it. Since we quit, we hadn't played golf in three years.
So yesterday we rejoined. They made us a deal and gave us the new member rate through June 2023. The regular rate hasn't changed since we quit. It's a well-run club with a lot of operational money willed over the years by past members. The clubhouse was recently remodeled has a weight room, locker room, zero depth pool, great bar and restaurant, tennis facility, lots of activities, waited on hand and foot etc...
We walked in for lunch yesterday and the server remembered us by name, asked about our grandkids etc... We hadn't seen her in three years, hell I didn't remember her name. Just the kind of place it is though. Everyone knows everyone and no real attitudes.

I have also not hit a golf ball in a few years probably three. Since I've been coming to Vietnam I really didn't have the time but on this new section of land that we bought I think I'm going to build a two hole par three course in the back. Labor is cheap here

My dad was a avid golfer, usually under par. He had alot of friends that played the Shinnecock open and Chicie? Rodregus used to stay with us at the summer home. Great guy just a normal guy. He and I used to striper fish off of the beach in front of that house. Man I miss that place!

Not concerned with a return to stock. Really just want to better understand the car.

Always learning
I went back to points in my Polara because I wanted to learn something new to me but that confuses a lot of people these days. Figure I can rebuild a carb, surely I can work on points.

It's St Paddy's Day!

Good morning :D

Super cool! That reenacting is a black hole for money. We have several National battlefields (Prairie Grove-and Pea Ridge) by our property, and in fact we have the remnants of a skirmish wall and defensive position on our hill.
My Great, great grandfather fought at Pea Ridge in the 15th northwest Arkansas regiment. Was neat to visit the sight.

Good morning all. Day 2 of 21 in the shipyard. Hope everyone has a great day. On a side note, looking more like I will be free for meet up in July. Will wait and see.

Good morning men. Happy St patties day!! I have not golfed for a few weeks now. All my golfing buddies are falling out. Well, one actually died, so I can excuse him.....

Test & Tune starting tomorrow.
Following weekend 3 days of Bracket racing.

Nice! And yes I do.

wonder what the price is on that run? Link doesn’t say. Last ones I saw like that were nearly a grand. And poor old me can’t justify that for a set.

nah , I’ll run the pretty Powdercoated valve covers @Mopar Tim gave me . Once I get the rest of the thing wrenched on

Why would you want to when the stock covers are so badass? I think the whole poly motor all by itself is wicked lookin.

In your cross country travels stop by for a couple days and we'll play some golf and maybe take in a car show. We have plenty of room.
Home - Topeka Country Club (topekacc.org)

Here is a pic on the club home page showing their new pool. Just so happens that girl off the board is my granddaughter showing off her Papa taught cannon ball skills. As you can see in the background scenery at the pool or club is not too bad. :D
Cheryl and I raise the average age. It's a younger crowd but that's ok.
