Stop in for a cup of coffee

Good morning everyone. I hope all is well out there. Not too much new here, back is getting worse. Snuck in a chiro appt yesterday before class. Worse today. Going to have to take it easy for a few days, I originally hurt it again back in January, but it is really lighting up lately.

Hmmmm, two week vacation, smoking hot girlfriend, and a back problem? Does anyone else see a root cause here?

Cheryl and I went to a Fit Body Boot Camp yesterday. Thirty minutes of continuous exercise led by a training.
It was a great workout we will join and try it out. We pay a monthly membership; they offer the workout for that day 10 times a day at various times. Every day a new workout
You can do it more than once in a day and come weekly whenever and how many times you want.
Bring on the sweat!!

I see where you are going there, and I wish I could claim that. Honestly, I think it was installing the heads and tunnel ram set up, far reach while leaning over the fender, cast iron heads, tunnel ram with carbs on it already. I think it was just too heavy for how far I was reaching/leaning. Then there was the training for the Korea trip (that I decided to cancel), and now finally....the vacation with the smoking hot girlfriend.

Morning!
We got sunshine this morning! High of 12! Nice!
Fargo is coming out.

So in this class they have a couple big boards that shows the time left on the exercise your doing.
It also shows at the bottom how long is left in the class.
After you join give you a fitness band to wear during class. On another big board it will show the instructor your heart rate and your extrusion level...the slackers can't hide!!
I looked one time and oner guys heart rate was over 200...wow dude slow down!!

Ya, with my leg/hip issue its hard to put in the steps. And quite often my phone is on my desk so its not counting. I wont wear a watch, i destroy them. And getting my arm snagged somewhere due to a watch is bound to happen. So im going to say 3000 is a good day for me.

Interesting idea.

Spinning, I'll range from about 111 to 172 peak climb (level 5 out of saddle) for 60 seconds. Recovery is pretty good getting down to about b 120 within 3 minutes.

Resting heartrate is down to 58 now

Maybe get yourself a little pocket pedometer. Inexpensive, out of the way.

I haven't found too many group classes that I liked, but this was different.
Of course Monday our first workout is purely exercises.
It'd been a few years since I've done burpees for 40 seconds followed by jumping jacks, etc...for 30 minutes no rest.
They have a nice cushioned floor mat and had no aches in the joints.
Today is a six station workout timed through each exercise continuous for 30 minutes.
The instructor when I said we'd be back in the morning suggested Wednesday. Nope see you in the morning.
She sent us a text last night to see how we were doing.
Think I'll like this place.

Well crap my resting is at 61! I have been trying to get under 60 for months and just can’t seem to get there. I have decided I am just fat, old, slow, and will never be in shape again. I got over aggressive on tricep presses this last weekend and can just now raise my arms! Doing dry fires last night was hilarious. I typically quit weight training about a week out before a match so as to have maximum flexibility and speed. Not sure if that makes sense or not but it works for me.

I would die! Cardio is not a fat man’s friend! I have tried to do cardio but I just get out of breath so I stopped!

Everyone has their routines that work for them.

Cardio begets cardio for me although I add in HIIT strength training at least once or twice a week has helped a bunch. Bursitis flared up a couple days ago... Freaking arm just goes dead so I'm laying off the weights a few days. Body weight only, lot lot lot of stretching and flexibility work.

Edit to add:

When I first got the bike... the App has you do a fitness challenge for like 15 minutes. Kicked my arse... on a 1-100 setting I was top-end at about a 25 @ 60 RPM Now steady cruise is 40 and 80 RPM rolling an hour or more.

No that's no longer the case. Wife served for years with a VA disability rating.
Sweet. I guess I’ll give the Legion a call. Didn’t think they’d work with me any being no combat deployments

At our age your doing all we need to ensure we can move freely and function well as we age.

Hey Cheryl made it through the class.
The last few weeks her biggest exercise was pushing away from her desk.
Now that that's over she's ready to hit it again.

This whole gig kicked off with twp simple goals:

1. Not to make "Old people" noises when standing or sitting.

2. When I work or work out the first area on my shirt to get sweaty won't be my belly.

So far so good

Nothing to do with it. If I remember you blew out your knee right before your unit deployed?? On duty well documented injury is all the care about.
