So again showing my complete ignorance of all things antique. Could any of you guys give me a clue on what style or era this piece comes from? My history expertise pretty much stops at the fall of Rome!

That is exactly what Jodi thought. I don’t know anything at all about antiques I mean nothing. I saw it on FB marketplace for 350 and bought it. I just plain liked it. Had no idea if I was getting skinned or not, I didn’t care I just liked it So I pulled the trigger.

How far up does your cherry picker go? A couple screws on the top and some mechanics wire would work. If the top isn't painted perfect no one will see it.
