Stop in for a cup of coffee

reminds of date I had. started out pretty hopeful as she seemed to appreciate older cars. Went downhill when she insisted the Valiant 200 she used to own had a 200 engine in it.
Now that's funny right there!!! Not sure how I'd handle that one lol!

I tried to explain by simply saying that 200 was like a model designation not engine size. But when she insisted it was the engine, I just dropped it. I was smart enough to do that, that time. LOL But yea I also knew this wasn't likely to work out.

I have to do a shotgun qualifier this week. Thursday I think. Gonna be brisk. It is 3F degrees here this morning. We shoot rain sleet or snow. Thinking about actually using my 12 instead of my twenty. A little guarantee against frozen clumsy fingers. That extra bit of shot and oomph can sure help. Might be the difference between making the cut or not? We sponsor a youth trap club. Sign up is tonight for the season. We anticipate aprox 110 to 130 youth signing up. God is Great Youth Trap Club out of Farmington/Prairie Grove Arkansas.
Lots of little shooters, sounds worthwhile. How long does the season go for?

Yrs ago the street signs looked like this In Morris MN. Snow blew into the attics of some appartment buildings. Melting snow turning to ice about 4in thick. Made cardboard shoots to pick ice/snow chunks and slide them to attic access and then down and out side. WAS NOT FUN
Not at my house thank God but here in Iowa.

Can't loiter too long.
Brake pads were on the squealer driving back from NJ last week.

Then if there is time, tweak the Motorcraft automatic choke.
I swear they are the hardest part of carb tuning to understand and adjust.
I need to figure out which relationship effects the moderate throttle conditions (uphill) while warming up.
my brain hurts!

I'd show her a Tesla model 1 and ask her if it had a 1cc motor in it lol! Of course she could probably argue that it was an electric motor and so "Yeah", Duh!
if Teslas had been made yet that would have been brilliant.
I'm not that smart in this sort of thing

Maybe I should take my 92 Ram 2500 Cummins for the test ????
With about 10,000 lbs in the back. They are notorious for getting stuck on flat ground in the snow. 4wd on the other hand make excellent plow trucks

Its an art. I like to set up using oem specs and dial from there. Then there is dealing with carb ice, high humidity and below 65 degrees, i have seen cabs frost up.

I enjoy messing with chokes.

Beleive it or not Frank, your words give me encouragement.

One extra challenge with this 2150 is the factory specs aren't consistant. There was a change in 1985 factory service bulletin which is what I've been using.

The choke pull-off that died was a positive close type (spring on the outside) but the replacement is a modulated type.

I don't have experience with the modulated one, and I'm not 100% sure its correct, but I think it is. Not sure that this should effect the mid throttle. My thinking is that by mid throttle the choke is being pulled open by the unloader through the fast idle link.

Morning all work out is done waiting for the coffee shop to open. We spent the day walking the golf tournament yesterday and were exhausted after eight hours. Today is an easy day need to rest up we’ve been on the go since we’ve been here. Have a great day.
