My 1 year old baby boy has to have surgery
Oh, I've been there. I had to go back into the OR with my daughter when she had her surgery and wait with her while she went under. Sorry I dont mean to scare you and I hope the little guy has a quick recovery!

Plus side Friday I get my cast off and I can attempt to start walking again!!!!

That really kinda kills my previous post... hope everything goes well...
Haha it's fine made me chuckle.

You're good. He's having tubes put in his ears due to routine ear infections, supposed a quick and simple surgery I just dread it .

Kind of worries me a tad though too. Same thing happened in 2006/2007, then the economy fell apart
That was nothing. You should have seen the bubble and collapse on prices back in the late 80s. Prices back then at the peak were close to what they are today. In 2 years they were cut by more than 60%

We've had many friends that had it done for the same reason with their kids. It's pretty quick and easy. It's usually harder for the parents than the kids. They bounce back fast...parents take longer. :)

I hope so lol

Great, now I'm going to have to figure out which backspacing to get. Time to do some reading. Then Im going to have to paint them as well. Oh the humanity!
If you go with the 15x7 with the 4-1/8" backspacing listed there, you will be close with a 255/60 and may need to trim the inside lip of the rear fenders by 1/8" or so.

Not hard to do, but a 245/ should fit just fine without trimming.

Plus side I already did that 2 summers ago. Negative side, I wrinkled the sheetmetal and it needs to be repaired. :BangHead:

Yep! Im not happy about that. Using the baseball bat to roll that inner lip does not work.
Ive never done body repair, and I dont really know how to go about fixing them. I did pick up some replacement sheetmetal from a donor car if I cant hammer them back into place. Although that still requires me to have to repaint the quarters and Im not sure if it can be blended at a body line or ???

Yikes! The baseball bat method only works on newer cars with much thinner sheet metal.

Post some pics of what you've got and I can give you some advice. Painting side panels requires blending halfway into the adjacent panel...but it can be done. The biggest issue you face is that PCP is the absolute worst paint color to blend. It's a nightmare to match and changes every time you spray it.

Now you tell me!

Dont laugh, after the baseball bat warped the metal, they were still unfinished and I needed the clearance. So I braced the best I could and I took the hammer to them, to get that inner lip curled up. Yep, I caused more of an issue. I was hoping that the chrome trim would cover it but it goes to high into the crease and will still be visible.

I do still have about 3/4 can of paint left so matching the color is not a problem.

I thing those can be saved with some selective contour hammering with body putty and shaped back to normal. The distortion isn't terrible and can be corrected. I would repaint to the upper lip of the wheel well lip (top of the distortion) and feather the edge with wet sanding. The contours will hide the paint blend.
