Stop in for a cup of coffee

I was going to get some Mcguires stuff at their trailer/display. Figured it would be really good deals. Not really. I think most of it is close or even cheaper at Advanced Auto, Pep Boys... You would think for events like this it would be wholesale pricing/more of an advertising write-off? There are others selling it there, some slightly cheaper. Maybe they don't want to undercut their distributers? To me, not worth dragging the stuff around.

Money grab.... Charge the enthusiasts more, some of them are stupid enough to pay it...

Sounds like me at Mopar nats...
Carlisle next year. (first time) Mopar Nats again this year. (6 or 7 years in a row). I can't compare the two. Farmington is a nice show and getting better. Mopars on the Mississippi in Dubuque is a nice regional show.. Our local Mopar Max at the drag strip is late in the season and a fun show/drag race/swap meet. The swap hasn't taken off much. The car show not bad, Maybe 50 cars. It would be fun to go to that Canadian show but nowdays you need a pasport. The Vegas show sounds fun too. Places to go. Things to see.

Good morning, it is fun to have the reports from Carlisle. Years ago a die-hard Mopar buddy went and came back with hundreds of photos, some day I'd like to go.
Yesterday's weigh-in, down another 4.4 lb for a total of 14.8 lb. in 5 weeks. Seven more weeks to go. Today or tomorrow will be a "cheat day." Not sure what food I'm in the mood for!

Mopars at the Barn at the Gilmore Car Museum in Michigan is one I would love to see. I was there for an all-makes show, there were many Mopars, the museum complex itself is worth making it a destination.

Sounds like fun. I hear the Belvedere show is good too.

Met Karl at the Larry Roesch swap meet in Elmhurst a couple years back. That's a fun swap meet in February. It changed venue though.

Never been to any other big Mopar only shows. Carlisle review says 'nearly 2700 cars on the showfield this year". I don't know if that counts the coral which is hundreds more for sale. Others in the swap area. And of course many, many more that are drivers parked outside the grounds.

Not four days worth!
Just got back from Carlisle, good time for sure, but was pretty busy selling crap, sold a bunch of distributors.
Anybody there today? Sunday's seem to be total wasters at any I have gone to in recent history. Hershey is same way. Mitch still there? Definitely a buyers day if anybody still there with large items trying to unload - like Ollie's -Good stuff cheap!

Everybody from out of state seems to pack up on Saturday and leave for home Sunday morning. I think it's a 12 hour drive from where I live.

Y'know with these old Mopars they have to get used to you it seems. I was driving my Fury home last night and it feels so different the way it drives compared to when I first got it.

Hey is getting the shifter working easier your first project? I am sure the car will be happier all around with you as it's new owner. Needs to be re-broken in!
Not really spend the the better half of yesterday cleaning it up alittle fixed stupid stuff like plate light wire broke removed spare tire clean down there, vacuumed up car gave it an outside clean up, just checking things out.
it has those race belts in front i have to get stock ones, might take rears for now.
I have it jacked up now doing shifter.
and yes there is a jack stand behind that front wheel.
i noticed one of the tail pipes is hitting the tank in the rear and also hitting the z bar alittle tweeking is needed

Ya gotta leave posts that you can go back to and know where you left off...

Otherwise it takes forever just to find how far back you missed, then read forward again.... :BangHead:
Don't think it always did this, but now if you just click the thread title line in any watched thread, it takes you right to the next unread post. Other way I was doing it is hit a page number far enough back that you know you already saw and click 'first unread'
