Stop in for a cup of coffee

Hey HoppyActually got to the garage today.
My work day was barely over when my schedule suddenly filled up for Monday with an around-the-World marathon of teleconferences for Monday.

8 am London England
9 am Tel Aviv Israel
10 am Sau Paulo Brazil
11 am Johannesburg South Africa
1 pm Montreal Canada
3 pm Perth Australia
4 pm Mumbai India
5 pm Tokyo Japan

Ugh! :BangHead:
That's nuts.

But never made it back...
I meant I actually made it to the garage today! :D

Even got some stuff done.
Took photos of the seatbelt and shouldbelts and attachment points to make sure they'll be OK for Tracknite. (I may have posted about the unpleasant reception I had at a non-SCCA track event. Apprently they didn't know what to make of 60s safety technology. Then they said things that suggested to me they didn't know much about safety restraints and protection in general. ) I'm presenting my questions to SCCA folks without the background baggage. Makes it easier for them and I feel I'll get a more technically sound and fairer answer.

Then I cleared off the stack of alternators and other stuff piled on the workbench from the minor thrash to get the car ready for the track day and then the waste trip to the dragstrip. That was uh, last weekend in November!
Almost took home a distributor to open up, but when I pulled the box, I noticed a stack of other boxes on top...never mind! At least they didnt land on my head, or worse, the floor!

Then I took pictures and measurements to finally replace the frame connectors which have some big rust holes in them. Rules for ESP now allow three connection points. I'm going to tie them into the rocker brace with the front seat's outer mount.

I love the way Dodge runs the new electronic vehicle data base for moder vehicles. Plug in the VIN and get the full list of factory equipment on the vehicle. I ran my brother in law’s Stratus and BAM!

This is about 1/2 of the pertinent information, would have to take another screen shot.part of my parts ordering package,i have access to the parts store and warehouse inventory 24/7. Makes ordering parts easier.

What I like most about the Chrysler data base is being able to figure out the vehicle options and it’s delivery history.

For example, with my 2012 Chrysler 300 C that I bought from CarMax, I was able to determine that it was built as a long-term corporate rental for Enterprise and had been fully maintained according to factory maintanence schedules. That also allowed me to go back to Enterprise and figure out that it had been with a single corporation for the duration of its use (likely just one user) and that it was used as a Pharmaceutical sales rental in Virginia and had primarily highway miles on it based on engine hours and confirmed by annual mileage. I was also able to determine that it had never been in an accident (I don’t trust CarFax). I also was able to determine that it was sold by Enterprise to CarMax only because it had reached the limit of mileage that they keep cars for (end of factory warranty, in this case 70k miles)

In the end, I knew pretty much all I could about the vehicle I was buying and could make a good decision.

So, where do you find that?

Morning, gents! I came home from work yesterday and found my Speedway 22 circuit wiring harness on the front porch. Gonna be a LOT of work, I am sure I will be posting in the electrical section soon enough. LOL! Too bad the instructions didn't come in Braille so I can see what I am doing!

$2.10 for a half pint of Sperm oil sounds like a good deal to me! I'll be darned if I would touch a whale like that to fill a 1/2 pint for $2.10....even if it would be one shot.

-22. That’s slightly better.
No plans today. Couple guys with 318’s ,for sure going to visit 1.
I need to get my engine done so i can move onto transmission.
