Some crazy stuff there. Talk about giving up in the home stretch. Guess the previous owner wouldn't make it to the world series. LOLI am. MOPAR buddy helping took the heater box home with him. I bought a rebuild kit. He had a new coil for it. He's going to rebuild it, and paint it up for me.
The previous owner had wired a small aftermarket oil/water gauge under the dash like many do. Funny he spent 5K getting the dash instrument panel completely re-done five years ago. I want to wire it while its out to use the dash temp/oil gauge and do away with the aftermarket piece.
Also the stereo speaker I though I'd need....the one here is brand new just wasn't wired in. He had some funky under the seat speaker system when I got the car...they are gone within a few days. Car also had the kick panels with stereo speakers. When I took them out they weren't wired in and looked brand new. I'll bring them to Carlisle and sell them.
Hey Z-man. I saw the colored diagram from Classic for '76 that the Dakato kid posted in electric. If anything looks amiss or confusing, check with the shop book ones. The one the Barracuda supplement or the regular FSM are pretty much correct as far as I can tell. Only thing not shown exact I've seen is the 2 speed wiper wiring.I've never done any wiring. Just read here and take it in. Anyway, I have one of those big plastic colored wiring diagrams for the car. PO owner sent it with a bunch of other stuff. With the dash sitting on the table last night I was using it to trace follow wiring. It was interesting. My neighbor coming back today, knows his wiring so this will be a nice learning experience.
Whippins? I like whippins! Not to sure about that

Yes, buddy doing mine said they were....I'll double check think it said flat black.Craig are the heater boxes painted? Just thinking about that. that's the next thing to do on mine when I change out/repair the heater core.
Everything is great Pete, been moving forward on my 66 Plymouth Valiant VictoriaHello Mike, things are fine on the small hill. How’s everything on the big hill?
Hey TJ. I got an idea about that car with the ammeter showing more charging with stuff on.Hey Ray!
Well looked quickly through the FSM and didn't see a wiring pic. I don't have the supplement, just FSM volume 1 & 2.Hey Z-man. edit: Now I see you and Ray already discussed this.
2 volumes? is it Dodge?Well looked quickly through the FSM and didn't see a wiring pic. I don't have the supplement, just FSM volume 1 & 2.
And I bought the rebuild kit for $40 from Detroit Muscle.Craig are the heater boxes painted? Just thinking about that. that's the next thing to do on mine when I change out/repair the heater core.
Ooops never mind lack of coffee, I got the parts catalog out. I got the service manual around here somewhere I think.2 volumes? is it Dodge?
Same here, they do make good stuff. Still have to get a paint set whenever. And I bought the rebuild kit for $40 from Detroit Muscle.
Yours should be relatively easy. All my wiring was totally burned so had no reference but bare copper wires.Ooops never mind lack of coffee, I got the parts catalog out. I got the service manual around here somewhere I think.
LOL. Made my coffee first (and slept in a bit!)Ooops never mind lack of coffee, I got the parts catalog out. I got the service manual around here somewhere I think.
PM sent.Zman- 67 Plymouth ?
In my 67 service manual, the diagram for the Valiant is the closest (back pages of the electrical chapter) and the Barracuda instrument cluster is not pictured. The Barracuda supplement is available onb-line, or I can send you if you PM me an email.
It will be its all there.Yours should be relatively easy. All my wiring was totally burned so had no reference but bare copper wires.
I'd just save for a complete manual steer column. There's a junk yard locally with a bunch in, I can check and see about getting one for ya.Ok folks looking for some info/advice, I went from power to manual steering on the Duster. I bought the power to manual adapter. Not liking the looks of the coupler and adapter combo and DEFINITELY not digging the amount of shimming it’s going to need to clear the header. So considering I’ve already done the column mods to remove the column shifter and indicator i’d rather not have to buy a manual column. Can/should I look for a manual shaft and coupler and put it in my column? Or get a manual coupler and extend my existing shaft by welding in an extension or extending the collapsible section of the shaft? Or just save up for a complete manual column? Any advice or input is greatly appreciated.
shoot, I'm interested in them. Question is though, would they physically fit a 74 dartI am. MOPAR buddy helping took the heater box home with him. I bought a rebuild kit. He had a new coil for it. He's going to rebuild it, and paint it up for me.
