The golden poison dart frog is considered the deadliest in the World, hence why the most lethal poison darts using its toxins are called “Golden Darts”.

The easy way to remember it is that sound travels 1 mile every 5 seconds.2 minutes +or- for the racket from that Delta to rattle the windows here depending on my distance estimate's accuracy. I'll be much closer.

That’s why we always count the seconds between a lightning flash and the thunder, and divide by 5 to determine how far away it was.
Woof woof! She is clearly critiquing my fuel cell plumbing layout. In Ca Dave We might see lightning once every 5 years if we lucky. That does follow my calculations on the 25 mile estimate. A single Delta moves some substantial sound waves. This one has 2 boosters
I won't ruin the punchline
those Sr71s could hit Mach 3.8, the A-12s(single seat version of the more widely known SR71)were a tad faster yet. Just below Mach 3.9The speed of sound is what? 700mph?
yep767 mph.
I first heard this in person years ago at Wright Pat AFB. Was there for a training mission and he was one of the lecturers. That was early 2000s. Love that it’s on YouTube finallyI won't ruin the punchline
That’s sweet. I never made it to a shuttle launch and the Apollo missions were before my timeWhen I lived in the desert as a youngster, sonic booms were an everyday occurrence. We were only 50? miles from Edwards AFB and George AFB was 30 miles. Those guys used to fly over us like they were late for cocktail hour . Edwards had the "Skunk Works" and they flew all manner of strange aircraft over us. We did see the Enterprise cruising past us in 75 or 76 on it's 747. is that? The last sonic boom I recall hearing was the one and only time the Shuttle landed at Edwards. I knew for whatever reason they were landing on the west coast so I was kinda hanging out where I could keep my eyes to the sky. I did a lot of weeding around the plant that day . Saw an approaching vapor trail, right over our heads. Wait for it. BABOOM! I don't recall why they bypassed the runway we extended for it at Vandenberg AFB. Neat stuff.
Some Learjets could do it too. There’s one here at the local Airport, got busted back in the late 90s for breaking the FAA speed and sound rules, they finally grounded it for 25 years due to the multiple violations. It was a modified Learjet if I recall right. Guy that owns it ran a local oil companyI'm sure the Navy was responsible for some of those window rattlers too. China Lake Naval Weapons Center was only 30 miles away. We got escorted off that facility by the Shore Patrol one day .

Spend some time on the East Coast. At the Jersey shore we regularly hear military jets going supersonic as they pass the coast. Back in the day when the Concorde was flying, we used to hear that go supersonic too. Some Learjets could do it too. My grandfather and dad got to fly on it back in the early 90s. Twice. I wish I couldSpend some time on the East Coast. At the Jersey shore we regularly hear military jets going supersonic as they pass the coast. Back in the day when the Concorde was flying, we used to hear that go supersonic too.
My wife hates it because we live south of a military gunnery range by 20 miles. We’ll be outside, I’ll start hearing the jet engines and can guess whether it’s an f15, f16 or A10 just by sound. They each have a unique sound. She hates when I sit up and predict it haha.Spend some time on the East Coast. NothingHow much of a late model non Beaker will fit on a Beaker to get rid of that park bench front bumper?
To swap to a 70-72 style front, you have to change everything from the firewall forward. Luckily it all bolts on. Fenders, fender extensions, grille, hood, valence and of course, bumperHow much of a late model non Beaker will fit on a Beaker to get rid of that park bench front bumper?
Say the word raccoon and Rani shows up next post.
is it the beak you want to get rid of or the extended absorber bumper?Nothing
