Stop in for a drink.

Feeling a little better about my prospects today. I spoke with a couple of connections and 2 more companies who want to talk quickly contacted me.

Maybe this will all turn out for the best.

Hope all goes well for you Dave.

Cream rises to the top.

“Hi David,

I’m reaching out regarding our firms partnership with XXXXX in ***, PA for a highly influential Senior Vice President, CMC role.

BTW if you have a chin up bar you can use gravity to realign. I hang and twist a little with my knees up and it all pops back into place. Maybe it will work for you.

Thanks!

I have used that gravity trick before but this time it isn’t working. I have also tried every other twist, turn and hang method I know. I have been dealing with these back issues for nearly 40 years and know that I just need to keep doing every trick until it finally gives up and releases.

Keep moving and it will find its way back...eventually.

Well, my first contact with the company that is interested in me went well. It seems like a good fit from both sides.

It’s always a slow motion process at this level, but the first step was positive.

The second step will tell more.

Time for a beer. :)

Carbonated and bottled my first batch of beer last night so 3 weeks and get my first good taste.
Well here comes the snow they say gonna snow till Saturday sometime but I'm ready booze shelf is restocked so if the power goes out I stay warm. lol

I have my Sticky Wicket oatmeal stout to bottle today. Hope yours turns out good.
Mine too!

I decided to do a secondary fermentation to clear the batch. That's just pouring the liquid into another bucket so it can settle out. I could cold crash. ( put it in the frig for a day) does the same thing only better.

Yule like this Ale is up tomorrow. The oatmeal stout won't be ready until next week.

Sipping a martini as I type pondering a fix (a San Diego Cal car) for a rust issue on my 73 Mach 1 where the passenger tail light assembly attaches. Those "pieces" are gone so I designed a replace piece that a local shop has machined. I hope to epoxy it in place, cover the whole backside in Por and be good to go.

When you brew 2 gallons and bottle 8 liters you have a little left over. Small plastic bottles work great to check for proper carbonation and a small sample to see if it's ready. This is chocolate orange stout. Not too chocolatey or orange flavored but this is the last little bit out of the bottling bucket. I would imagine this will improve with age. It is very smooth.

So if the carbonation is not right what can you do to change it. Add more sugar or if need less what then.

The carbonating sugar you put in right before bottling is the trick. Too much and glass bottles will break or the beer will have too much head. Too little and it will be flat. Can't really fix that unless you would pour it all in a keg and soak it in Co2. Just follow the carbonating instructions to the letter and you'll be fine.

Man does that stout have a kick. I had a few shots of whisky throughout the evening. Half way through the glass of beer and I am getting buzzed. You do soak the orange peel in Tito's and incorporate it into the wort. LOL

Time for a toddy! Just a sipper of Mellow Corn. A hokey looking $15 bottle of Kentucky whiskey that actually tastes like corn from where it came from. "Bottled in Bond" Makes it better. Look up the phrase. Here's to @Sublime one . He has been busy with a death in the family and could probably use a drink about now. Hope things are going well John and Jody.

Sorry to here that John And Jody and the early winter storm to top it off just makes it worse.
Hate to see such good friends go through such pain.
Thanks for letting me know Toolman I didn't know.

Well, this new company that is courting me must be serious. It only took them 24 hrs after the initial contact to reach out to schedule the next step of meeting with the hiring manager.

It still a long slow dance with many more steps to come, but fingers crossed that this all works out.

But it’s the weekend now, so cheers!
