Sounds good!! You make them and we will be over! I just finished cleaning up from dinner so now it’s definitely time for a drinkIt's hot out and time for something cool to drink. How about a Vodka Tonic?
I need to practice up on those. Although I don't need simple syrup.I could go for a good old fashioned
I enjoy them when they are made well. Not too sweet. I just don’t like mixing them myself.I need to practice up on those. Although I don't need simple syrup.

It all depends on my mood. Sometimes I enjoy a good mixed drink. Most days mine are neat.I am a "drink neat" kind of guy.
I like the ryes but honestly labels appeal to me. If I see something with a cool bottling I will buy it out of curiosity to try. I know it’s not the way to choose bourbon but it’s fun.I am so far into the bourbon's that neat is the only way to go. Some friends that have been in the tasting and collecting hobby a lot longer than me have "bourbon burnout" Everything tastes the same. They have changed directions to Tequila and rum. I'm not there. I like ryes and they are complex and always changing.
I have a close friend that is a label reader. He has bought some great off brand bottles just by reading the tasting notes on the label. I pick a few by tasting notes from you tube videos. After a couple successful buys you can trust that their choices align with your palate.I like the ryes but honestly labels appeal to me. This is true. I try to steer clear of the run of the mill. I know a lot of people who like Makers Mark. Personally i am not a fan.I have a close friend that is a label reader. Lol. That’s an incredible collection. I don’t have the room for a collection so I purchase as I go. I do like Elijah Craig.Just for fun I looked through my list. 12 Bookers, 16 Cedar Ridge (local to me), 19 Elijah Craig (all but 3 are barrel proof and most are picks), 10 Jack Daniel's Single Barrel/Barrel Proof, and 17 Starlight bottles. They do about everything but do a great job with Ryes especially finished ones. Cognac, Sherry, and Stout are favorites.
I obviously do. It is a good solid bourbon. We have done a barrel pick or two of EC. Oh I forgot Knob Creek. 11 of those. Damn, after adding all these up I see I have a problem. LOLLol.
