I traded My K550four Honda for a 70 318 barracuda and got it home
and started clean up and took the back seat out and then the drivers side
back seat panel and found a sleeve 3/4 full of dome light covers.
Next I bought a 4 door dart for the motor for my dirt car and in the trunk I found at least a two lb bag of arrow heads mostly non perfect,
But still good rocks.
My 63 valiant handed over 3 pure silver dimes and two old rod and reels
in the trunk way back by the back seat.

What the @#$ or who the$%^ What is still in there I can't see!!!
 
My Dart had a deck of playing cards about as old as it was, an ant colony in the passenger side floorboard, and a bunch of dried chilis in it everywhere. Previous owner had been using it as a shed.

With experiance with these spiders (Bit once). Yes it's a Black Widow we get them the size of a quarter were I live. I hope you killed that sucker and looked for more. We have them so bad that when I get a new project I put it in he garage and set off atleast 4 bug-bombswhich kills the insects.

Anyway a 73 Duster 340 I bought once, when checking it out I found a breast pump and Zig Zag papers,Roaches,and pot seeds then found that the previous owner had made a fire in the spare tire well (God takes care of fools) The car was a 4spd car and led a hard life, The crossmember had 2 bolts ripping thru the subframe, found the car had been pieced together. it was completly cut in half behind the front seat and had another back half installed. Found extra bolts in the oil pan,Exhaust pipe had coors cans and clamps fixing leaks.
 
I bought a H Code Dart Sport 3 years ago, pulled it out of a field with trees growing on each side of it. It had been there since the early 80's after some front end damage. When gutting the interior I found a white towel with the words 'Wanna Race!" I guesse it kinda explained how it got the front end damage!
 
When I got my Dart last year, I took to cleaning her up and while the previous owner took pretty good care of her, there was dirt built up in the usual places.

I was cleaning the dirt from the bottom of the fenders and found the top of a Snapple like bottle, broken, about 2-3" long from the top including the unopened cap. Don't know how the heck it got in there, cause it was a real pain getting it out.

Now that I work at an Auto Recyclers, I have found many things in cars, but nothing really exciting like nudie pics or drug paraphenalia. Lots of liquor bottles, possibly the cause of the vehicle's damage.
 
I found a mouse nest made up of the build sheet that was under the back seat (the only one in the car) I have all the little bits and pieces in a zip lock bag. One day I wll attempt to put the ultimate puzzle together and have a copy of a build sheet once again. Be careful where you store your car and whats in it. I sould have looked for it when I got the car and removed it before I let it sit for I got to working on it.

It can be done! I seen an E-body 440+6 convert at the mopar nats, the owner spent countless hours putting the build sheet back together, then laminated it! The biggest piece was the size of your fingernail!
 
I found a very old Social Security card and a draft card with the same name from 1968 under the dash in a '68 cuda that I bought as a parts car.
 
Not my A body, but...

A friend of mine had a Dart in his backyard that had been stored for years with a blown transmission. I was there to buy the instrument cluster, but I wanted to open the hood to see what the car had. I popped the hood and instantly this big *** badger stood up on the slant 6s intake manifold, where it had built a nest. It let out with a nasty growling, hissing sound. I saw that mutha's teeth and SLAMMED the hood shut!

Besides the badger there were mouse dropping all over the back of the instrument cluster... Nasty...
 
I was taking apart an old neglected 360 that had been left in a car for many years that had been in a field. I kept removing rust and junk then while removing the exhaust manifolds I get piles of rust falling from the block and manifold. But then the rust starts to move. There must have ten 3" cockroaches scurrying everywhere.
 
Mostly some old change and newspapers, I havent got to the 74 yet so who knos whats in there but all in all its really clean so I really dont plan on finding anything.
 
A mouse had gotten into the radiator of a 73 Duster. I picked out piles of wet globs of fiberglass insulation and the shells from about 20 walnuts.
My mom had a car one time (non-Mopar) that all of a sudden started making a terrible racket everytime you turned on the blower motor. Turns out, the mice had stored so much dry dog food in it that the fins from the blower were stirring them around!

Found this little dudes head (and some misc bones) in the rear door panel area of my '69 Valiant. Not sure what he is.

My '73 Duster had a lolipop in the ashtray when I bought it. The previous owner told me it was there when he bought the car, he thought it would bad luck to get rid of it. I threw it out the window on the drive home from his house.

I helped a guy move his Chevelle (that had been sitting in his father-in-laws backyard for years) not too long ago. I popped open the hood to get the motor started, put my hands down on the radiator support, looked around to make sure everything was where it belonged. I looked over towards the fender and saw a black and white face looking at me. I thought it was a stuffed animal until it showed me it's teeth. I'm not sure what it was but it looked pissed.

The first car I bought was a '65 Skylark that I bought from the original owner - a little old lady who said she only drove it on Sundays. The ashtrays in the back seat were jam packed with roaches.

Wow! I had a feeling that this subject had been discuss before...But when I found little miss Black wida! I thought I would bring it up again...as far as just A-bodies...heck any car will do...for strange items found...

I knew even before I saw the belly of the "widow" that it was a SERIOUS spider...
I found it in the bench seat, passenger side, were my kids sit...I knew that darn web, was from an agressive spider.

That's why I plugged the body holes, removed the seat and took a looksee!

I haven't killed it yet...go it in a old Kim Chee bottle.. The kids are totally facinated by the beast...no worries...that little bugger is going to starve, sufficate or dehydrate to death....slowly!:snakeman:

Can't tell ya exactly why...the web was non-discript...but it kept on getting rebuilt a couple days after I would see it (break it) or after I drove it...

I noticed the body plugs were missing and covered them up with rubber plugs.

But it still bothered me that I had not found the BUILDER...so I removed my back seat and flipped the bench over and started looking for a spider. As soon as I saw her...OOOOHHH thats a ominous looking creature...

If she last through the weekend, I'm gonna bring it to the University and let them make her "glow in the dark"...if you are unsure what I'm talking about...a few years back a professor @ UH Manoa made glow in the dark mice...:snakeman:

I came out on top with this one. A friend of mine bought an old 72 camper special Ford from the orig. owner, this thing was cherry. While he was doing a tune up he replaced the plug wires and realized the old ones were Genuine Mopar wires. I have em' all and they work just fine. They are now in a plastic bag in the garage.

Another time, I found something interesting was when my high school girl friends dad took me to his brothers farm land becasue there were some old pre war cars way out in an old river bed. Well the cars are still there Im sure and there were plenty of cool cars there. I decided I would try to take the headlight buckett off of a 38 Chev. It was half full of sand and the car was pretty well barried so the light was close to the ground. I had began removing the screws that I could reach on the outside but had to hold some nuts inside of it, so I started scooping sand outta the way and then heard a little rattle. I stopped and listened for a sec, nothing so I proceed to dig, then I hear it again. It was a rattle snake all coiled up way in the back of the buckett. Needless to say he was homeless after that day.
 
You guys have some great stories.

When I bought my Fastback in 1991 in Rialto, California, I put all the little pieces of history I found into a big ziplock baggie where they are today.

3/4 of the rather shredded broadcast sheet from the rear seat springs
A book of matches from The FireSide Restaurant in Santa Fe Springs (anyone know if it's still open?)
Ticket stub from a Black Sabbath concert
Some ticket stub from an unknown movie / theatre and
A wrapped piece of Juicy Fruit gum.

Obviously, not too exciting.

On the other hand, I bought a 1970 Nova for $400. While cleaning out and vacuuming around the back seat, I decided to pull up the seat and see if the build sheet was there. I didn't find a build sheet, but I DID find a bigggg ol' bag of change. Turned out there was $127 in there!
 
The nasty spiders tend to make ugly webs and the almost-tolerable spiders make the nice, symmetrical webs.

There are probably exceptions, but I try to avoid contact with any of them. Apparently, the little bast@rds find me to be delicious.
