New Kevko Pan with Crank Scraper

Seems they would scrape windage from the rotating assembly and push it down to the sump?

    360 Magnum Build SFS (S-crounging F-or S-craps)

@RAMM did you work on the heads or leave as is after the valve job?

    SBM Promaxx Flow Numbers

Right. 20% is only another 50. Just saying it doesn’t seem unreasonable for them to run one.
  6. C

    SBM Promaxx Flow Numbers

I think they charge 800-1000$ to run heads through the cnc. If they got the volume in sales 250 sets could come pretty quickly.

Haha Dang, that video is from 2015.

    340 cam for 318

One of the reasons i asked about advertised duration. For example this lunati voodoo. They call it a 253/258 cam but the .050 duration is quite similar to the factory 340 cams. https://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/threads/lunati-voodoo-700-cam-454-208-050.573145/#post-1974907166 I also...

Going to Build 470 Street/Strip Engine for 71 Demon

Oh sorry. Looks like they’ve added pistons to their catalog. I thought you were looking at the 440 piston at 1.35ch and 4.375 bore. They even have a 1.32 piston for 383 bores now. Pretty nice if 8.1cc dish works for people.

Going to Build 470 Street/Strip Engine for 71 Demon

I think that mahle piston is 1.35” ch instead of 1.32 I think that puts it above deck with the 470 combo with 6.7 rods right?

    340 cam for 318

I always wonder how these shootouts would play out if they installed both cams at 108 or 106.

    340 cam for 318

Does anyone know what lift that duration is measured at?

    SBM Promaxx Flow Numbers

The promaxx as cast but complete heads are supposed to have a 5 angle valve job and hand blending in the bowls. Is this flow test the as cast heads without the promaxx vj and blending?

    Speedmaster ‍♂️

Yeah i got some complete heads, non cnc. Took about 5 days to arrive.
  15. C

    340 cam for 318

The listing says it’s a 4.14” gasket bore diameter. Is that accurate?
  16. C

    Speedmaster ‍♂️

Promaxx is a completely different thing than speedmaster. Probably the same castings and that’s it.

    340 cam for 318

Yeah, i had one reground by Bullet and they weren’t too excited about spreading the lsa. I got a degree out of it haha. 110 to 111. They wanted to preserve base circle it seemed.

AFR SBM Heads, Just got back from PRI

Oh. I confused AFR with Aeroflow. Damn, lots of different companies now seem to be selling the same heads as speedmaster. https://aeroflowperformance.com/af95-2318-sb-chry-318-360-pair-assemb

AFR SBM Heads, Just got back from PRI

I looked on the AFR website the other day. No numbers for the cnc small block heads. Non cnc heads had similar flow numbers as the non cnc promaxx heads.

Hyd Roller vs Hyd Flat tappet on SM heads

I understand what you’re saying. If i needed it perfect i would def contact B3. In this instance I will call this good enough to run and move on with the build.

Hyd Roller vs Hyd Flat tappet on SM heads

Yeah i think posting the .600 lift and 1” lift would prove or disprove Bewys point. More lift equals wider sweep. He also said a longer rocker will create a narrower sweep. Can you (EarlieA) if it’s not too much trouble, post one with 1.5” shaft center to roller center distance?

    340 cam for 318

It’s 110. Had one in a 360 i pulled apart to rering. Ran good, would probably act like a somewhat hot cam in a 318. Mine was in at 110 or 109, cranked 185psi and idle vacuum was 13-14”. Would def install at 104-106 in a lower compression motor. I think that cam is the same as the crane 272.

Getting this spot here, 1.75-1.78” depending on where exactly the calipers are

Seems like that would be ideal.

    AFR SBM heads (supposedly)

Yeah looking at the afr pic again, the SM ssr seems more laid back and shorter as cast.
  28. C

    AFR SBM heads (supposedly)

Feels lowish normal to me with a very slight as cast bump that could be blended out. Not hogged out from the vj. Think I’m going to very subtly blend the bowls and if I can find a good machine shop around here, have a nice vj done for 2.055 ferrea valves.

    AFR SBM heads (supposedly)

This is the guide in speedmasters i just got.

Hyd Roller vs Hyd Flat tappet on SM heads

The pivot location would move depending on rocker length. Seems like simple arc and radius geometry really. A straight line from points a to b and then measure from that line to the arc, that’s sweep on the valve stem. That’s how a longer rocker affects the pattern. Moving the pivot...
