    aussie 408 combo

You said it was torque you were really after Ben.? I'd be staying with the rpm air gap. A good mate runs a roller cam in his 390 stroked with an air gap and runs 11.0s but it really street friendly at the same time. Something to consider...... Sometimes you need to consider more than the...

    65 Barracuda Pro Touring project

Thats an awesome car mate! Cant wait to see some video of it when done :) What about modifying the pipes instead of the car? The trouble pipe looks like it could just get that extra kink taken out of it to flatten it back against the motor more?

    8 3/4 pinion spacer question.

Hi all, I don't post on here much, i read a lot, but am hoping you can help anyway. I'm putting a sure grip in my 489 centre, and will use a solid spacer. I can't find the exact info regards using shims. Is the main use of the shims to set bearing preload? Or is it to set pinion depth as...

    Tubular Lower Control Arm Thread

These look Great Badart, you're doing the Mopar Community a great service, especially with the offer to share part numbers etc. Certainly appreciated over here in Australia too. How do you think the control arms and strut rods would hold up to a beating on an autocross car? More the strut rods...

A little rebuild advice needed please :)

Hi all, i'm in the process of pulling down an 833 for my first time for a kit. The box has sat for a few years opened but it seems to be not too dry etc. Still has grease or old oil around the gears etc. I'm down to the reverse shaft and countershaft. These both seem in very good condition and...

Hey Michael, just spent the last hour (or 2) reading through your thread. Great reading man and thanks for taking the time to document it on here for all to read! A833 od advice needed please!

Hi all! Quick question, i Have a Australian Valiant basically the same as a Plymouth valiant with a 383, 727 and 8 3/4. I only use the car for race days and the occasional cruise. Even though its a 383 car its light in the front similar to a sb so handles pretty well with all the mods i've done...

    1973 duster front suspension upgrade

Personally i'd be going the .990" bars, i don't think the .920"s would be enough to keep the firm feel. I don't think the .990"s would be too harsh if you are wondering either.:-D

The best suspension upgrade for cornering?

When you mentioned the brakes, bjkadron, It says stock size rotors but does it mention calipers?? If not thats where you can get your performance. get the best calipers you can fit in 15's. some 4 or even 6 piston calipers that have pads with the largest swept area you can get to fit. Here are...

    Got pulled over today

How is he supposed to learn good driving and car control if he only floors it in a straight line? I think its a great idea if its at the right time and place! otherwise he'll be stuck drag racing the rest of his life.Seems to me that all the stories posted here don't relate to this young gun. He...

    Aussie Valiant finally finished....

Sorry to be harsh mate, i think its a fantastic car, but i'm Mopar to the bone and i know what its like to pay more for mopar bits. Even for racing i couldn't go past Mopar either, But its your car and well done for finishing it !
