    vibration update....yoke condition

    got the driveshaft out....here's the yoke. Why did this happen??? The yoke is 1.680", and it is 1.674 at the worst part. I still have to take the tailshaft housing off, because I got a new bushing, but I still need to find the cause.

    early 1-2, late 2-3...

    i got the TF-2 kit in, and it shifts into 2nd at 3500, at WOT....i haven't checked 2-3, but i know it's high, i have gotten to 4500, but had to let off to keep from being way over the speed limit...i'll get it out on the innerstate sometime and check the 2-3 shift at WOT.... i'm guessing...

    got the TF-2 installed.....

    GRRRR...misled myself with my vibration

    well....when i removed all of the rear suspension/driveline, i had no major vibrations... when i was puting it back together and found that the idiot PO used the 7 1/4 shaft without shortening it, i went and had it shortened... so i get it all back together and have had a vibration...

    tranny front seal...from a chevy

    rear end noise

    telling tranny mods by driving

    reuse the old ring gear bolts??????

    i was out puting the new 3.91 ring on the clutch suregrip, and the ring gear bolts wouldn't go in all the way. seems the new bolts are larger up around the shank than the holes. the bolts DO fit in the other suregrip (cone-type though). so do i clean and reuse the old bolts or break out...

    With a lot of things, you get what you pay for. Is this true with rear gears? It seems everyone I know gets off-brand or cheapo gears for under $150, but I always thought it'd be better to spend the extra money and get Richmond gears.....is this true???
