Anyone have extremely stupid neighbors?

You all know you have them. You know that guy that bumps his music till 3' in the morning, or the person that has to revv the piss outta his car for some odd reason every single morning, 2 hours after the other stupid guy... Well yeah i have those.. But this other one takes the cake, he is extremely not well in the noggin, he spends his time smoking the funny grass, and drinking so you could imagine why lol. So awhile back he did a 5 speed swap into an ugly automobile, a 63 futura.. He says its a solid 425 hp /490 ft/lbs car... So im checking it out and notice his engine is really tilted in the rear..i say hey john wassup with your motor? He immediately trys to drop some knowledge on me and says "its set like that on purpose".. So i look under, and couldnt believe what i saw..... He made the trans crossmember outta frickin bedframe!! So im like wtf!? So i say oh my god it cant be that bad, then it starts to scare the sh** outta me so i get out from under the car and scram outta his place.
 
Lol i know this is a long post but i couldnt belive what i saw.. The reason i got out from under the car so damn fast was.... That he didnt use bolts.. Get this.. He used self tapping screw's along with long galvanized screw's with puny little 1"x1" wood on the otherside to hold (some) of the 50 or so screws... Now i live in the freaken ghetto and thought i had seen it all.. I was so freaking wrong hahaha. It amazed me on how stupid he actually is.. (hes okie) too, but never have i seen this before... He siad ill give you a ride and i gave him my bugeyed face.. Later I even (politely) told him he was gonna have to fix that, or never give anyone a ride.. He got so pissed, because he was pretty sure it was "heavy duty" , and that i was full of chit.. It got to the point of where he was name calling, mopar bashing, my car is better than yours chit, etc I let him know if he ever unleashed his full 250 horses of pure 302 power it would all blow to smitherines.. Has anyone else seen or heard of stuff ike this??

Hopefully this mental midget only removes himself from the gene pool when his "race car" falls apart.
 
Now i do admit he has spent quite a bit of money.. But i just couldnt figure him out.. why in the world would you pay 1700 for a transmission, and then go to putting "bedframe" with screws!!!!??? I was scared as hell to be under that thing.. He told my dad if he'd ever part with it, he'd like to get "7000 cuz he gots 4 into the motor alone" i told him it had better come with your truck to help push it off a cliff.. He honestly thinks its a street/strip car with looks to die for.. I dunno guys i think we have been doing it all wrong!! :D maybe im stupid because im using bolts on my crossmember??
 
If he used Elmers Wood Glue along with the wood screws it may just hold together.......
 
He should of not got mad at your second opinion.
Maybe when he calms down he will see that you were
right.

You think that is bad....My Buddy made a homemade deep oil pan for his 440.He cut the oil pick up tube in half and spliced it back together with a piece of garden hose.


The same Guy also put a 440 in a 1985 Olds cutlass.He had the motor in most of the way and the 440 did not quite fit,so he stood on top of the cowl and beat in the firewall with a sledge hammer.

The same Guy also put a 440 in a mid 80's Chevy truck.He also made a convertable out of a 74 Coronet station wagon.

He also bought a basket case 69 GTS.In one week He had all the bodywork done and in paint.You can only imangine what it looked like when it was done.

Some people just should not be in the car hobby!!!
 
Gt340 you are so right!! But no.. Thats for his next build with tko tranny and hotter 302 with "full race" cam!!... Cuz sadly this one only has a "three-quarter race cam" :(... That glue will come in handy for the natural monsterous torque, an 80's 302 pumps out!:D :D :D ....... -Monook he says he'll take it to a dyno for me to see the actual numbers lol ..oh for some odd reason he came up with the number of 425 horses??? I once asked him if i could use his dyno.. Lets just say he got very red

One of thee funniest things he ever said was, "i like havin posi in my falcon, i like doin the fish tailies" or "boy! I built a ford truck, with a 289 and 4 speed.That 289 with tunnel ram high rise, and 3/4 cam had so much power!!!, when i would step on the cluctch and rev it, it would move!!!"

Had a neighbor kid ask me how much it would cost to paint his car..So I gave him an items list with teh paint, thinner..ect. He calls me 2 days later and says he had all the stuff. I asked him if he was sure he got the right kind of thinner for lacquer and he tells me and Im paraphrasing a little "Naw man..I just went ahead and mixed it in a bucket with water..that's what my grandpa always did with his show cars" -_-
 
LOL.... daily, here in Los Angeles I see dumb asses with some pretty stupid stuff added.

Wing made out of 2x4's and scrap lumber and nailed onto the trunk (yes nailed)
Toyota with something resembling F15 tails fastened onto the rear fenders
3 tiered wings
Two tiered wings
HUGE Whale tails
Fart tubes sounding like a bad gas attack to a tin barrel full of angry bees
Dozens of racing stickers pasted all over
Paint jobs looking like their 3 year old did it
4x4 trucks lifted high in the rear with huge tires and little tires in the front (works well off road)
 
How 'bout a Coat Hanger through the hole in a spindle and wrapped around the outer tie Rod. He made it 12 feet.
 
he should have used JB quick weld rofl on that point i have jimmy rigged a few things in order to drive but fixed it later like my wipers went out in my hearse i took out my shoe strings and tied one to each wiper then tied them together in the car so i could operate them with one hand and drive with the other to get home lol also used zip ties on broken throttle cable when camping once changed it twice before i made it back lol
 
I was in my friends truck once and when he applied the brakes we both went flying forward together (bench seat) straight towards the dash, glad we had seat belts on, so a bit confused and trying to figure out what the hell was going on, find out the bench seat is not bolted to the floor, it was just placed on top of the floor and this guy has been driving it like that for half a year.

The east side of stockton , there is a neighborhood known as oakie vill... And i have just never ever,ever seen that.. I have seen and heard a man cutting a geo metro with a sledge hammer and milwaukee skillsaw lol... But not that..I went home saying what tha truck was that!! Well even if he had the 400 horses im sure id beat him, after 17ft his trans would be way back on the floor lol... Lmao guys i too have jimmy rigged somethings, but never ever would i attempt to do some redneck engineering on my ride, unless i was stuck somewhere or just usin it for temporary use....but id still feel stupid .. Hey! I like that shoestring thing lol
 
I am certain my neighbor is again the top prize winner here. He has put great effort into maintaining his stature and keeping this trophy for many years. Whenever he has had more funds at his disposal he has done more and larger scale stupid.
We expect his reign will end with a large explosion and/or fire. Anything less would be a disapointment. Until then, we keep our distance and keep our eyes and ears open.
 
I thought Big Paul still lived here in Michigan!!! Yes, he's the one that my buddy sold his old work van to, and he then proceeded to sledgehammer a hole in the roof to mount his 20' flagpole through so he could show off his Detroit Lions pride!! Oh, you mean bridges and stoplights and trees and stuff aren't over 20' above the road?? Hadda find out the hard way!! Had to scrap the van, but saved the bungee cord that held the drivers door closed, because it was also the seatbelt!! Hooked it to the homemade wooden doghouse between the seats!!

Wish I had a pic or 2 of this to show, but the van's long gone!! He did, however, fill the engine block, trans and anything else that would hold water with...well,... water!!! Yep, to get a couple extra bucks at the scrap yard!!

And this is the guy who wants to marry Nella!!! OMG!! Geof
 
Yep, very stupid, and i also work at a school as custodian , alot of stupid everything there, and not just talking about students. lol.
 
Don't make fun of the shoe string wipers. My Dad had a 72 Datsun pickup truck. The wiper motor would was going away, first it would not move them upwards so my Dad tied a string around the drivers side. A month or so later he needed a passenger when it was raining as they no longer would go back down, So he tied a string to the passenger side. The driver needed to give them a tug to get them moving upward, the passenger a tug to get them moving downward. Missed a few days of school because of those wipers.....
