Glad to hear . Having the MiL at your anniversary vacation is a bit weird....
My other sister got married a few years back, lasted about 5 months. Come to find out that what she thought was a honeymoon vacation as a wedding gift, turned into the grooms entire immediate family, his brother, sister, mom, dad and grandparents with them, in one suite in Panama City. She didn’t find out until they all showed up at the airport.
She lives with us.....MIL.
I got a phone call at 530 am from her absolutely livid hahaha

Did Vegas for my birthday once, which closely coincides with Halloween. If ya think Vegas is different, try it on Halloween
it's REAL different. I knew something was going on at the convention center but didn't know what. As I was leaving for home I passed it and they were taking down the big SEMA banner as they closed up shop 
.
I went out to SEMA a few times, when I still had my Parts Stores. Lot of fun...
You come home with lots of swag for sure.......

I could go for seeing The Star Spangled Banner at the Bellagio Fountains at midnight again. Truthfully, I got a little misty watching it.

IF you travel this way, avoid I70 thru Indiana. I70 from Terry Haute to Plainfield is a disaster right now and to make matters worse, INDOT just closed I70 East of Indy, all the way to Richmond, both directions for the next 4 months. They are detouring interstate traffic on to Indiana 40, which is a single lane state highway. 465 inner loop, 1 lane both directions, detours thru downtown Indy, Average time just to get from the west side of Indy to the Eastside is over 90 minutes in the middle of the day. That’s not counting the other delays
I’d suggest I64 out of St Louis to Louisville, then I74 thru Louisville, take 71 into Columbus and pick up I70 there.

I think you might be wishful thinking at a week. Maybe that and a month of Sundays. lol
2 Weeks. Just have to assemble it. All the parts were included....
